Turns out the first adapter I used held up just fine on both the outgoing and return flight
Wanted to use my own in-the-ear headphones on the 18hr flight to and from Thailand this last month. I bought the bulk pack because of previous reviews mentioning quality issues and the risk a one-off adapter might break. Turns out the first adapter I used held up just fine on both the outgoing and return flight. I did have to make sure my headphone jack was fully seated into the adapter to get both left and right earbuds working. (the last little bit of jack took a little more pressure to fully seat into the adapter).Flight was on an Eva air 777 in economy class section. The seat has a three prong hookup with two big pins and one little one in a triangle shape. I just plugged this into the two big pin slot and it fit and worked with no issues.

so that is a good thing with all the vibration in an airplane
I've used one of these for traveling overseas, and it has worked well. They do feel a little cheap, but seem to be holding up OK. For the price, its a bargain, but if you're looking for something with a high class look/feel, this probably isn't it.The insertion is a bit stiff, so make sure your headphones get plugged into them firmly. I did have to go back once and push mine in further when I connected it without looking at it. Definitely will not fall out though, so that is a good thing with all the vibration in an airplane.

Worked great with my earphones ()
Used these on several Cathay Pacific flights around Asia. Worked great with my earphones ( Klipsch Image X10 Noise-Isolating Earphone (Discontinued by Manufacturer) ). Didn't expect an airline like CP to use 2 prong inputs, but I'm glad I got these. Held up for several flights, even after removing several times to hit the on-board restrooms. They were well worth the money. I got the 6 pack and brought a few extra cuz you never know when you're going to lose these things. Nothing to not like about them. It's not the manufacturer's problem if these don't fit all planes. My guess is that some airlines have custom ones.

Excellent for long haul international flights
Based on other reviews I thought these might not be that durable, so I ordered a 4 pack. I have used 1 on 4-14 hour flights and have had no issues at all. I even tripped over my cord and no problems. I gave one to a fellow passenger and just received an email thank you, with the person telling me that they have used it a few more times and it is still working great. Maybe I got good ones, but all 4 seem pretty well made.

handy accessory when flying with children
i bring these in my carry on every time i fly with my children. they can finally use regular airplane headphones (they are 5) but it's still easier just to plug their own child-sized headphones into this jack, so they can switch between the ipad and seat back entertainment if they want to. buy extras, these break easily if stepped on, pulled to hard, etc. for the price they are fine.

The alternative to cheap airline headphones
Why these aren't provided by airlines is a mystery to me. As someone who travels via airplane many times a year, these adapters are worth their weight in the gold plating the covers them. This model works well and helps me to avoid the airline headphones in lieu of my superior quality ones. Great product!

Just a great item to have on a plane
Just a great item to have on a plane. Build quality is decent, much better, than a cheap alternative, which shattered after first use.You never know when you trans Atlantic flight is served by a plane from early 2000s', where this adapter just saves you ears.
