great book!
I had to purchase this book for a college class. However I found it very interesting and informative. Overall good read. I've had a few good friends say the author may be a little too liberal with his take on Hurricane Katrina and how he describes the President and what "really happened." Besides that I think he was fair in how he addressed President Bush during 9/11, Hurricane Katrina, and then President Obama during the financial crisis.

Perfect condition, very lively read.
I needed this book for a class for my Political Science major. I ordered it 3/4 of the way through the semester and during the Thanksgiving break, too. It arrived before I went back to class and was in pristine condition. I applaud the speedy delivery Amazon did, as always. The book was a lot more interesting than what I thought it would be, obviously touching up on current events and relating practical political methods of bureaucracy easily. It can be a touchy book at times if you were personally affected by such disasters as Hurricane Katrina and 9/11 (as all of us are), but I definitely recommend it. If you need this for a class, don't worry. It won't put you to sleep. (:

Awesome Read!
Purchased the book for a graduate course because I had to, not thinking much about it. I must say I love the book, definitely a great informative read that keeps you turning the pages.

Great Read!
Very insightful and informative analysis of our governmental institutions! Also, really good examples and analogies were used to further illustrate or highlight some of the many stressors that weigh on our government and its leaders altogether.

Good
Not the greatest book in the world, but it doesn't have to be, it serves it's purpose in getting it's point across.
