There is one map of the entire journey from St Louis to the Pacific Ocean spanning two pages at the front of the book. While the map has key points labeled many of the journal's geographic references are a guess at best.It is not a difficult read. The book is laid out in a Journal style. The author has summarized their travels whenever there is little value to the storyline.You will notice Lewis' attitude towards the indigenous peoples changes from friendly to almost hostile during the duration of the journey.The book abruptly ends upon Lewis and Clark's return to St. Louis. That is not the end of Lewis and Clark's stories nor the end of their journals' stories. Lewis's story runs on for another few years. The Journal's story almost 100 years more.

Great communication, timely shipping, arrived well packaged and just as described. Would recommend.

An amazing story of a more amazing expedition. This personal account by Lewis and Clark was done in an clear and well written manner. The additional editorial notes were very helpful. I recommend this book..

This account shows the raw fight to survive that the Corps took on. The very fact that they returned with their writings in tact is amazing.

I find the book difficult reading as the print is so small

The journals these man kept were amazing in detail. After having read this book, I'm determined to travel along there journey. The hardships these men endured were incredible, but to them it was just part of the journey.

Haven’t read the book yet so can’t comment on that. Book was torn on the bottom corner though.
