Awesome!
Works Great! Converted dome lights from on/off to a pulse width modulated dimming effect. Standard relays buzz as the pwm signal is activated. Installed this solid state relay and now there is no more buzzing but a smooth silent dimming effect. Would buy again.

Returned by mistake
Bought these relays, did not wire my ECU correctly and thought the issue was these relays, the issue was caused by not adding a power to Pin A26 on my Haltech Elite ECU, these relays would have worked great and would have been reliable, unfortunately I returned them.

Custom wiring only
I ordered one of these to try in the central electric panel of my Porsche 928s that has 22 relays. I was hoping this type could be used for the 85-86-87-30 four pin relays used for the fuel pump, LH and ignition control computers. Unfortunately, even though the pin connectors are in the same configuration, the wiring is not compatible. Too bad! There would be a HUGE market for reliable solid state relays to replace all the relays in Porsche, VW and Audi cars. I really wanted this one to work. It will just not turn on with the standard car wiring.

Great Product!
I used two of these to wire-up a high amperage, PWM (pulse width modulated) engine cooling fan, and I am very pleased with there performance.Amperage rating for this relay is 22 amps, at maximum operating temperature, according to Hella's web site.Use multiple relays, wired in parallel, to match your equipment's maximum operating amperage + 15%. My fan pulls 35 amps, so I used two relays for a total of 44 amps. (35 amps + 15% = 40.25 amps)This relay will fit in a standard socket, and the pins are numbered the same as a standard relay, but the wiring is different.30 = Battery + (High Amperage)87 = Load (High Amperage)85 = Ground (Low Amperage)86 = Switched Ground (Low Amperage)

Obsolete part, replaced by HELLA 931774031
This part # represents obsolete version of HELLA 931774031 relay, just differing in case style. When ordering this part # thru Amazon, Amazon sent out the newer HELLA 931774031 relay

This is a solid state relay, their application is somewhat specific. You have to know how the solid state relay works and the voltage leak and trigger voltages to know if it will be correct for your application. its similar to swapping out bulbs in a car to LED bulbs.

The one I got didn't work at all,
The one I got didn't work at all, scratches gouges, looks like it's been around the block a few dozen times first I used it on a solid state device in my truck, it didn't work so I thought maybe a problem add a solid state to a solid state so I then pulled the relay out of my fuel pump and plugged it in, dead, dead, dead. It sounded like a good idea, I hope you have better luck than I did if you decide to try one
