Just shy of perfect!
I had a Hamilton Beach FlexBrew single serve coffee maker for many, many years. It is similar to a Keurig. I have a mold allergy, and these types of coffee makers can build up mold inside over time. I started looking for a single serve percolator, and I found this little gem. Pros: -It is small and takes up very little room on the counter or in a pantry/cupboard. -It makes very hot coffee and the taste is great, even better than my HB coffee maker. -On the 01 setting, it takes roughly 5 min to brew. On the 02 setting, it takes about 8 min. The 02 setting simply makes a darker roast coffee. This compared to 3 min on the HB coffee maker. -It is very easy to use. Just put in the water and coffee grounds, and press the desired setting. -It is a breeze to clean. I usually rinse with cold water and towel dry. Once a week, I will use some dawn. -The percolator, although not flawless, is very well made. Cons: -Like other reviewers have indicated, the top is a bear to remove. I use a little rubber gripper (for jar opening) to remove it. Otherwise, you risk burning your hand trying to get the lid off. It is slightly easier if you let it cool for a minute before removing. -There is a little stainless steel ring around the top part of the percolator. That little ring is the same material as inside, and it gets very hot just like the inside. If, like me, you like your coffee scalding hot, you will not be drinking it directly from the percolator. You will burn your mouth on that stainless steel ring. Trust me on this! If you like your coffee much cooler, it may be fine. I haven't tried it though, so I would advise touching that ring with your finger first before you put it to your lips. -I also tried to pour my coffee into a cup without removing the lid. It worked well most of the time. But once I wound up with coffee grounds in my cup. And I could see those grounds in the little hole on the lid. It also leaves coffee in the percolator doing it this way. All in all, I give this little gem 5 stars. I can work around the little flaws and get a great tasting, hot coffee that is mold free. I love it so much, I bought a second one for our second home. I highly recommend it. **UPDATE 1/15/26** First, after months of use, the lid has become so much easier to open. It isn't nearly as tight as it was when I first reviewed. I can actually use just my fingers now to push up gently from underneath to remove it. I bought the first on in September and use it daily. Second, the second one I bought in November, and the lid was so much tighter fitting than the first one. I can see why some people think it is ridiculously tight and hard to remove. This one doesn't get used as often, so it may take longer to loosen up. In addition, this one seems to wobble on the counter a bit like it isn't quite level. I rarely use this one, so I kept it. It still functions as beautifully as the first so I don't mind the small hassles. I still recommend it.

Funny name for a great coffee maker
I love this thing. Let me admit my prejudice right at the start: I'm a dedicated percolated coffee drinker. Switched back to a pyrex stove top percolator two years ago and I'm never looking back. No more insipid drip coffee, no more burnt $tarby roa$t coffee ma$querading as a good thing. And don't get me started on pod people creating mediocre brews and a butt load of plastic landfill waste in the process. That's where I'm coming from. :) And yes, this is fundamentally a percolator. So how does the Goo coffee maker do? Darn good if you take a little time to figure it out. It has 2 preset coffee modes but for my tastes the brew times are too short on both. (Other reviewers have mentioned this too.) This is where one of the first great features comes in: You use the tea mode which allows you to pick your own brew time from between 2 and 15 minutes. While I can't imagine a 15 minute brew I headed right for my stove top perk time of 7 minutes and my coffee is just right. It's very flexible - find your own nirvana. At the end of the coffee or tea cycles the Goo turns off, which I prefer rather than having it cook the coffee with constant heating. But it does have what they call a "temperature control" mode where you can keep your brew warm by selecting from 5 different temp options. This isn't automatic - you would have to set this mode after your brew is done. You also have a boil water mode. Does the obvious. Good if you need hot water for instant coffee, instant hot chocolate packets or maybe a Ramen bowl. The interior and brew basket are all stainless. The super modern design always begs the question "What's that?" when people first see it. And although I bought it for travel it's found a home on the kitchen counter as well. It fills in great at the end of a day when you only want one more cup and don't want to waste making an entire pot. I found the instruction manual to be quite good but I see in reviews that some people don't think so. It covers all the functions, explains the flexibility of the tea mode and even includes tips on cleaning if your Goo develops hard water scale. One thing that keeps coming up in the Q&A's is about the capacity. Although the seller keeps replying that it's only 8 ounces the manual states the maximum fill is 300 ml, or about 10 ounces. 10 ounces is what I mostly use. This is one of those China products where they could have cut corners and turned out a mediocre product - but they didn't. With percolator coffee it's most important to get the temperature right. Too hot and you get that "boiled coffee" taste. Not here, you just get a strong as you want cup with real depth of flavor. Did I mention I love this thing? :)

Good purchase for emergency response or travel.
I bought this in 2021, it is no2 2025. I'm on a wildfire incident management team and I used this for coffee when I was flying to an incident and couldn't bring a JetBoil. Over the years, this still remains a solid purchase. My only complaint I had was that coffee would get stuck between the plastic lid layers. I see that they have updated their listing with a video on how to disassemble the lid for cleaning. So this should no longer be an issue. There are newer coffee maker products on the market that may be better (and more expensive) than this, but for the money, functionality, and portability, I recommend this.

Perfect find for coffee lovers
My husband travels for work and hotel room coffee is just nasty, so I gifted him this coffee maker. He absolutely loves it! It makes a bit over a cup at a time. It’s basically a to go percolator, make coffee, tea or whatever as strong as you like with the different settings. Small enough to fit into his suitcase. Outside is very hot so the silicone sleeve is a must! No leakage, great coffee and so easy to use. What a great value!!!

I'm in love... UPDATE!! HELP!!
The inner seal for the lid has cracked almost all the way around it, only attached by the larger hole now! Had to tie the other end up with Sinew to keep it from breaking completely off. Cannot find any way to order a new lid. Help would be appreciated! I am still using this thing at least once a day and have since the day I got it. Cannot praise this thing enough! The "Warmer" setting for coffee is a blessing too! If you only want 300Ml (about 10oz an average cup) of coffee this gadget is PERFECT!! This is the ONLY one cup TRUE PERCOLATOR I have been able to find anywhere! the second "coffee" setting does an EXACT 10 minuet perk using cold water! This bugger also boils tea & has multiple settings for that as well as a "keep warm" function and a "boil" water function all on one electronic button! I have only ONE gripe so far and that is the extremely heavy and STIFF power cord. Other than that if you are looking for a portable coffee maker (even comes with a sack to carry it in) THIS IS FOR YOU! On a side note, I've found if all you want is to boil water you can do 14 oz easily with no problems and I am 90% sure you can boil 16 oz too (have not tried this yet) the lid seals tight on the pot but has two small slits in it, one to "vent" and a slightly larger one to pour from so you can leave the coffee colander in place while pouring! I have been using tea bags (the cloth ones from amazon) to put my coffee grounds in and just tossing that into the maker with 300Lt of water and hitting the 2d coffee timer with fantastic results! when coffee is done just chuck the used teabag and rinse the maker out and all set! Cant beat that for a Quick cup of coffee! (I fill a bunch of the teabags while I'm watching videos)...

Poor Quality
Bought this coffee maker to use with my generator because we have so many power failures in our area. I tried it when it arrived, and it worked perfectly. I packed it away until this morning when I tried to use it with my 100% fully charged generator, and it would not work at all. The coffee maker would not turn on --no power. When the power came back on, I tried it in a wall socket, and again the unit would not turn on! I was and am so disappointed! When I bought this coffee maker, I was so thankful that I could make coffee during a power failure, but that didn't happen! This unit is a piece of junk!

The coffee is good and easy, but the lid is scary
I bought this coffeemaker via amazon, Its cute and does not occupy any space at all. I made tea couple times and few brews of coffee. they taste great. The problem is with the lid, they are so tight and its hard to remove the lid, so when you apply pressure the hot liquid spills in your hand. I got 2 burns in my hand even though I was careful second time. My husband made coffee today and he got hurt by the spill, so he had to shake the whole coffee maker and messed up. I wish there was an easy way to pour the hot liquid or a quick release button near the lid to open it. It ruins the taste after getting a burn in your hand.

Good coffee maker for office or camping
Firstly, this has to be plugged in to function. If not plugged in its just a fancy thermos. Once plugged in, it brews 300 mls of coffee (about 10 fl oz). Extremely simplistic and small. I have an f150 with a 120v plug in my car (or whatever the usual American plug in is volt wise) and put the thermos in my cup holder and plugged it in and it brewed while I drove. Just to show its portability. It has multiple settings like a kettle really. It has boiling water and temp control and then 2 coffee and 2 tea settings. I've only tried the dark coffee setting so far because that's how I like my coffee and it is pretty good coffee. Would recommend if your current coffee maker is stuck in the kitchen and you want to bring it to your office or desk and brew there to save a trip. Only bummer is its a hand wash deal. And it's multiple parts means cleaning isn't the fastest. But to me it's worth it so I can stay focused and not have to go to my kitchen to brew the coffee and I could take it on the go if needed.
