Great figure - best in this wave (in my opinion). Love these 40th Anniversary figures!
First off, I'm an O.G. SW fan (1977, baby!) and have collected SW toys off and on since I was begging dad for 'em. That said, I gave up "modern" collecting in 1998, when I literally saw myself putting figures ahead of food. I just went cold turkey and only taken an occasional look at the SW toys at the store. This is the first figure I've bought in 22 years. I was thinking about buying this but was still casual about it (had it in "My List," but not "My Cart")... until I saw a YouTube review by a guy who mainly only does vintage figures. In the 10-15min video, he talked about finding the whole set at the store, and - in about ten seconds - dismissed this figure because he "didn't feel it fit with the set," and so he didn't purchase it or review it.That kinda set me off. It was the catalyst that made me pull the trigger. Number one (and I shouldn't waste time here arguing over his decision; it's his show, it's his wallet, so, whatever), the "set" is 40th Anniversary Empire Strikes Back, and this the AT-AT Driver. Seems like he fits the set just fine. Second, he's the *only* villain in this wave (unless I'm mistaken). So, c'mon, you *gotta* have a bad guy! That guy on YouTube kept going on about the "Core characters" - well, I think maybe he had a hang-up on the Good Guys. Me? I had an older brother who always played the Dark Side when we played with my figures, and taught me the life lesson that "sometimes the Bad Guys win." So I'm more about the figure itself than the character it represents, if that makes sense.Third - !!! - (holds up figure) - he's dang awesome!!! Look at the design, paint, & sculpt! The card is really great - (I deducted a star because, as many have pointed out, the cardback is a whole heap of Meh), the colors are vibrant.Empire has always been my favorite, mostly due to the various environments (Hoth/Dagobah/Bespin), and I'm very excited to see these 6" carded Black Series figures dedicated to ESB. (I've got the Hoth Trooper on it's way!)As far as delivery and condition - I do feel it was well-packaged in the Amazon box... Mine does have a 2" crease on the upper left corner of the card. For me, personally, no big deal - at this point as a collector, I'm riding the middle ground; I won't be taking him out of the packaging, but I'm not so hung up on it that I'm asking for an exchange.(Sheesh, I remember cutting out the proofs-of-purchase to order Boba Fett! Sure wish I'd kept all those cards and figures!)I can't afford to buy many of these, and I do wish they could get 'em down to around $15, but you do get a great figure for the money (in general). (I wish I'd gone ahead and bought the Amazon Exclusive Han Carbonite, but oh well...)

Very good figure
This is the star wars black series 40th anniversary ATAT Driver. Figure is a repack of number 31 in the red line. Not much was changed other than this figure now appears on a reproduction's Kenner card back. Still comes with a E11 blaster rifle. I compared this to the original figure in the red line I could not tell them apart other than the packaging. This is still a good figure . If you are going for a version to display and put on the wall this figure is one I say pick up. This figure ends up also not being as expensive as the other 40th anniversary figures

A must have for your Hoth collection...
Of all the Imperial pilots and various vehicle crewmen, I've always liked the AT-AT Driver the best. Looking at TESB screen shots for comparison, the figure looks to be very accurate. The paint app is super clean, he grips the blaster tightly, and holds a pose well. Overall one of the best 6" Hasbro SW figures out there. Highly recommended!
