Is this a good tool to drill holes in masonry ceiling to hang a lamp? My hammer drill with masonry bit is not doing the job.

Yes.. they take their own bits, but it does a great job drilling holes. I've drilled 1/2" holes through my solid 8" thick foundation several times. It is hard concrete with river rock from the 1940's so it is very hard. It goes through pretty quick.

What is the Warranty? I read the motor burned out on a new one and they not replace it.

1 year repair / replace parts. ive dropped mine ran it for hours on end and it still runs perfect. so far anything bosch tool related ive been happy with.
