One major downside of working from home is too much time flexibility and the inherent potential for distraction and procrastination. I found that by 10am every morning I was worn out from having planned and re-planned my day, checking in on social media to distract myself, loading the washing machine when I should have been working, and generally wasting too much mental energy on indecisiveness around silly inconsequential stuff.After pondering planner/organiser apps for a few months I began researching how other freelancers had successfully pinned down how to create a routine out of a messy and unpredictable work and domestic life combo. I found really helpful reviews for a couple of planners but Clever Fox seemed to be the favourite by a clear margin.The pro's:It's beautiful. It feels special (so soft...). It's vibrant sitting there on the desk, and it screams "Use me to make every moment count. You complete me!"It's expensive. Yes, that is a pro. I'm damned sure I'm not going to spend that amount on a planner and leave it gathering dust in a drawer. The expense (ok, and the speshulness) keeps me accountable and encourages me to use it.Speaking of accountability, it's made me realise how much time I waste. Time I could be working, cuddling my dogs (It's become an important daily habit, good for the nervous system, relaxing, inspires creativity), doing fun stuff. I make sure I adhere as closely to the plan as possible and my productivity has increased, as has my newfound ability to take some chill time, guilt-free (it's perfect for achieving a work/life balance).It's removed the brain-ache of "what should i do next out of this massive list" - i've already decided the night before, and anything new or forgotten that comes up I add to next day's "to do" list.It makes you think of other important stuff like making time to see people.There's space to review your week and make notes - something I didn't think I would use, but it's really useful to refer back when planning the following week.There are so many features that I won't go into here, but it's really freed up a lot of headspace for me personally. My decisions for the following day are made at the end of each day when it's less overwhelming, and starting your day knowing that it's planned out for you is what has really worked for me. It's a lovely little piece of kit for anyone who needs to free up some headspace, time and energy.

This planner had improved my productivity, it's well planned, and breaks weekly daily monthly planning into sections for both personal and career tasks and growth.It has a soft leather like casing. A5 pages so plenty big enough but still fits in the laptop bag when travelling easily. At the price I haven't found a better planner.

A helpful layout, although personally found space for listing 'to do' items a bit limited. For that reason, stopped using it after a couple of months and shifted to a planner with more room for 'to do' items and notes and less space devoted to personal vision, habits etc. However, a well thought out and nicely made planner that would be great for many users - particularly those who like writing down their personal goals and, eg, the habits they are working to develop (and don't worry about other people reading those if they leave the planner behind after a meeting....).

Sturdy and well made planner. Everything I hoped it would be. Using it daily and it's really helping me set and track new goals and habits. I love that it has a work to do list and a personal to do list and a month view. This is helping me stay in control of all areas of life. Very happy, highly recommend!

I love this product, I needed something to stay organised and motivated me to complete tasks and this does it all. Brilliant lay out, I love the orange colour and to be honest I cannot at this stage fault it (I’ve only had it for a couple of weeks) but I know I will be buying a second one.

Its a really great concept nicely presented in lovely gift box, and initially aesthetically pleasing and appeared well made and commensurately priced in line with this - but from a functional point of view needs development - I liked the lack of dates and manner/format it is set up to capture and manage my life/events - its more in line with my operation system (or lack of one!) but its far too chunky, and i didn't need some of the sections - it does not have a spiral bound spine - so in use its a bit fragile and difficult to hold and write in owing to weight and not being able to place flat on a surface to do so and is already falling apart as a result and not the easiest thing to tote about! i cant believe they didn't bother tabbing sections for ease of location - you can use stickers and the ribbon markers, (but i cant remember which one is which) and the sticker tabs get knocked off and tatty. I would love this as an app with accompanying journal to re ord/input info into and that you can personalise from clever fox, but until they do, I am going back to my 1980’s filofax for now (i still have the shoulder pads!) i rate it as a 5/10 purchase

I’ve been looking for a planner like this and they’re so expensive everywhere else. But this is 100% worth the money. I bought this a while ago and I’m still using it. It’s amazing and there’s stuff in there that changes your habits and think about what your goals are, etc. The actual pages are exactly what you need to plan your day out and what part of your work is your priority, what your goals are for the entire week and the month. This has changed my planning skills and perfected it. Definitely purchasing this again!!
