Picasso 916 Matte Black & Red Ring Fountain Pen with Box - Titanium Gray Extra Fine Nib

My new preferred pen (previous was a Safari and some no name with a replaced nib). Had to adjust the nib to align more with the feed, but it flows well.

Fountain Pens can be expensive -- especially if you want one of good quality. I have to say, I've been impressed with this pen at $20. I like it as much as my $35 TWSBI Eco.I love the matte black body. I'm not usually a fan of black pens because I like to be more colorful, but this pen looks nice, and I really like the feel of the matte finish. I don't think I have any other pen with a matte finish, and it's definitely nice.The weight is good. It's not too heavy for a metal pen, and it feels sturdy. It feels like it could handle a few drops.The clip is pretty stiff, so you might have some trouble trying to clip it to anything too thick. The cap has a good solid feel when you pull it off. I mean, it has a grip as you're pulling it off which definitely doesn't feel like it would slide off accidentally, and it has a satisfying click when you cap it. I haven't been using it long, but I think the way the cap is will help keep the nib from drying out if you let it sit for a while. I've let it sit for a day or two, and it started right back up when I used it again. One thing I'll note about the grip of the cap is if you accidentally twist the pen while pulling off the cap, it might unscrew the grip section from the barrel a bit. I have only had trouble with it when trying to cap and uncap with one hand though. It also posts very securely, but posting it makes it just a tad back heavy for my taste -- but I almost never post my pens, not even my little Kaweco Sport or my Brass Travelers Pen. I just personally don't care for posted pens.I haven't had any issues with ink flow: no hard starts or skips or railroading (of course, this is not a flex nib, so you shouldn't be trying to flex it which is where you would get railroading) or anything like that. It has performed flawlessly for me so far. The feed keeps up with my writing even when I write faster. I should note I've been using Diamine Hope Pink, as the ink can affect the flow. I've never had any trouble with that ink in any of my pens.It's not a super wet writer, but it's not horribly dry either. I tend to prefer gushers, but this pen is a pretty good medium which would work better on bad paper than a gusher would.The nib is pretty basic. It's not super smooth, but it definitely isn't scratchy. It has a nice basic feedback similar to my TWSBI Eco's nib.The converter it comes with is good. It's a basic one that gets the job done. It's nothing special, but I don't have any issues with it either.It's a medium sized pen. It's not too thin/short, but it's also not huge.All in all, it's a great basic pen if you want something that isn't too flashy, writes well, and is reliable without spending too much money on a pen. I have been looking for a good starter fountain pen for my boyfriend, and I thought this would be it. However, I might have to buy another one because I'm enjoying it a little too much to give it away right now.

Edit: The seller contacted me immediately after I left the bad review to ask if they could send me a new pen since the first one I received had some issues that I listed below. The new pen came in quicky and all of the issues I had before are non existent with the new pen. The cap posts securely and it doesn't dry out. It writes beautifully and is as good as a pilot metro, if not better. The pen looks great and it writes just as well.The seller was very courteous and quick to respond to my emails. Although the first pen I received was no good, I understand that it happens from time to time and as long as the seller is willing to make it right, Im happy. I would highly recommend this pen and the seller. I definitely won't hesitate to do business with them in the future, their customer service was fantastic. I can't say enough good about the way they handled the issue and how professional the person who contacted me was.You won't regret buying this pen from this seller. A+The pen looks magnificent and that's where the compliments end. It writes very poorly and is very rough feeling. I'm using high quality inks and none of them perform well at all. The cap doesn't post securely, so it tends to come off very easily and if you're carrying the pen in something fabric, you're going to have some stains to deal with.Maybe I just received a bad pen and the majority of them are just fine. I don't know, but I would save yourself the disappointment and just purchase a lamy or pilot metropolitan. They write much better and the caps actually post securely.I really liked how this pen looked and was hoping it would write just as good as its asthetics, but I was let down. For what it costs, it should be able to write well if nothing else. I know in the world of fountain pens this model is on the cheap side, but 25 usd for a pen isn't cheap by any stretch of the imagination.I normally don't leave really bad reviews, so a product has got to be pretty disappointing for me to do so.

This is a very nice pen, good weight, nice posting and wrights beautifully, Very reminiscent of my "Sheaffer TARGA" pen but easily used for daily tasks and not worrying about loosing it.

Es un regalo. La pluma a vista está bien trabajada y sus acabados son suaves. Incluye lo que indica la publicación, una caja bonita y un convertidor. Se complemento el regalo con una tinta waterman.Me parece muy delgada y hasta que la estrenen no sabré como funciona. Pero como regalo bonito esta excelente.

La pluma se ve muy bonita. Fluye bastante bien pero el cargador es un poco Corto para mi gusto, sin embargo supongo que con cartuchos, será más la duración. Definitivamente es una buena compra y la relación calidad precio es muy buena. Me llegó dentro del tiempo estipulado. Vale la pena.

Excelente pluma. Muy buena calidad. Soy escritora y la he utilizado bastante diariamente un año ya y nunca he tenido ningún problema. Muy recomendable.

Hasta el momento el artículo está funcionando adecuadamente. He usado una tinta de otra marca que ya tenía y fluye sin problema. El trazo se ha mantenido continuo y los materiales le dan una vista elegante. Me parece una buena compra de acuerdo al costo.
