was able to unscrew the screw easily because of the hex-drive allows a strong grip

It's a quarter drive tool
Use slow turning devices like spanner or wrench to remove the broken bolt, or you might end up breaking the remover, remember usually it's the speed that broke it in the first place

Works like a charm!
I had to extract a bolt that was in the arm of my desk chair. I had fought for months to get this bolt out and finally after purchasing this extractor set I was able to get the bolt out. Like a splinter in a lions paw, once it was out, my chair thanked me. Slick as snot!

Smallest bit broke instantly.
I liked the look of these easy-outs with the aggressive threads. Boy, can looks be deceiving! I used only hand pressure to turn the bit into the hole I drilled. As soon as it got a good grip inside that hole, it broke off! Since drilling into a high strength steel is almost impossible. I had to buy a diamond tipped core drill bit to remove the broken easy-out.I’m only giving it two stars until I try the larger sizes. I’m not holding my breath that they will improve.

Poor quality material; extractor was softer than the broken stud!
Purchased this set to remove two broken exhaust manifold studs. I drilled 1/4" into the studs and then used the extractors. The threads on the extractor rounded over as the material was too soft to "bite" into the stud. I drilled a bit further and tried again, and when there was finally enough grip all around, the extractor bit snapped inside the stud. Absolutely worthless for extracting any sort of hardened steel bolts or studs. They would probably work on softer materials.
