The Coqui and The Iguana

This book is really good. I am white but my wife is Puerto Rican and i want our son to know both cultures so whenever i find a book that will teach him something or is about Puerto Rico i tend to get it... he really enjoys this book, if he could write this message he'd recommend it.

This is a terribly written book! On par with what you'd expect from an eighth grader (I've taught 7-12 grade ELA for years, so I'd know)! The illustrations are amateurish, and the colors are muddy and dull. To add insult to injury, this lousy excuse for a book fell apart the very first time my son thumbed through it (the second time it was opened). At least Amazon gave me a refund (I usually don't write reviews despite meaning to. I just couldn't silently allow others to be duped by the misleading positive reviews)...

The story is very nice. The book itself, however, fell apart during the third read. Four pages fell out before I took it away from the kids to try to salvage it. I hope they can get a better quality bind next time. This was *not* a matter of children playing with the book. The pages separated from simply turning pages while reading

This book is absolutely amazing. I bought this book for my class. It kept my whole class entertain. It tell a very cute story.

Our 3 year old LOVES this story and asks for it nightly. Even though it's a longer book it holds her attention.
