Exactly what I needed!
I wasn't sure if the faceplate would rotate as I needed it to be vertical (90 degrees) and the lock to be horizontal (180 degrees, since it also needed to be left-facing). Luckily, it worked exactly as I needed it to be for my old door in my 1905 house.

Good looking and works well
Added security for wooden screen door. Works well and looks good. Easy ti install. Had to buy special size drillbit ~$4.50 to install. Wish they had installation template and instructions.

This is a nice lock. I got a similar one from build.com and it was flimsy compared to this one. The bolt mechanism on this one was much more robust and smooth in operation. A+

Don't make them like they used to!
I purchased this latch to replace one that was 20 years old and still working. The old latch's shiny brass finish no longer matched the door hardware we installed to update our home interior. I immediately noticed that the mechanical parts of this latch were not equivalent to those of the still functional existing latch. Fortunately I could fit the knob from this latch onto the existing latch mechanism. The latch works as it always has but the finish on the knob from the replacement latch started to wear off after 3 months.

Install Info you need to know
Product does the job but you will need a 9/16 drill bit for the tube portion. Drill the horizontal hole larger than the gear pin and a bit longer than the pin. The screws are too long and hit the vertical tube if you want the trim plate vertical. Use short screws and tip with paint. The throw bolt is 1/2” but use the 9/16 bit to give you some room to adjust the metal plate at the door frame head.

You get what you pay for. These are not high quality locks. They don’t turn that smooth either.
