Outstanding hybrid faucet for the moderately handy.
First, I'm Amy's husband Rob. I selected and installed this faucet. The actual product received was labelled Hotis Home. I mention that because we like this antique bronze version so much that I'm ordering one in nickel for our butlers' pantry. The design and execution are good, with focus on wear points. Much better than the "high end" product from a major manufacturer it's replacing.. The "M" product was always a struggle, and the stiff hose a problem that caused premature failure at two points. This a hybrid of a traditional pull-down faucet and a commercial pre-rinse faucet. Perfect for our needs. I have experience managing the equipment and facilities for four restaurants, and know what to look for. It would not survive the abuse of a volume restaurant, but it isn't being expected to. A couple of notes: in Q/A there is erroneous info. Without deck plate (included) max counter top thickness is 1-1/2". Using the deck plate, documentation states 1" max. My opinion is that 1/4" could be added to both, but no more. At least one reviewer said 3" would work, that is false. Next, points were deducted buy some reviewers for installation difficulties. Ok, it's awkward to work in that tiny area behind a deep sink. Ours is 9". That said, the engineering on this is great. The supply hoses, for example, have double "o" rings. You don't need to get inside the bell nut holding the faucet to the counter to torque them down. In fact, don't over tighten. That will just bulge the seals, possibly CREATING a leak. Removal of old faucet, 40 minutes, due to needing to cap supply stops that don't completely close in out house. Grrrr. Installation of this item, less than 20 minutes. Third note, if the hole in your counter is right up against the wall ( don't forget about back wall in cabinet ), clearance on the mounting nut could be challenging. The standard hole size of 1-1/2" provides adequate wiggle room though. The min hole required is 1-3/8". That 1/8" makes a difference in ease of installation. One odd quality is orientation. As labelled and designed, Hot is to the right, Cold to the left. Of course the choice is up to the installer. Yeah, buying another for our prep/cleanup sink (that doubles as dog washing sink, don't ask). Like I said. . bought it in bronze for the kitchen, buying another in nickel for the pantry. Like it a lot.

Exceptional Value - albeit without replacement parts
As a landlord I’ve purchased and replace dozens and dozens of faucets. Customarily I would purchase Delta or Moen products for $200+ and within 3-8 years have to replace the cartridges at $30-$50 a pop. Since going through that constant replenishment experience I began to buy less expensive faucets, under the assumption that all faucets these days are made in the same place — Asia — and a I might as well save money since they all will need to be repaired. I can’t tell you whether this Shaco model will require a repair. They talk about coming equipped with ceramic valves, just like the high end Moen and Delta brands. I’ve only had this one installed for a few months in our own pool house, and every time I use it it impresses me with the quality of its functioning and aesthetics. The design even on the small parts is spot on. The removable aerator doesn’t have a restrictor so the water comes out fast. And even the sprayer has a long, kink-free hose which allows you to pull it far out smoothly. I went to the Shaco home online site, and they don’t list any replacement parts. It’s possible that when you open it up there will be another brand of faucet which will have identical cartridges, although the picture in their description is nothing like I’ve seen previously. It’s also possible that when you contact their customer service department you can buy them. I guess that’s why I’m taking the time to give them a positive review. It just feels so solid and well made. Water immediately stops flowing when shut off and doesn’t leak. Everything functions better than the high dollar competition. And should you need parts, the $40 cost to replace the entire faucet would be less than you’d pay for Moen or Delta replacement parts. And that’s a slam dunk. One star deletion for lack of parts, anyway.

Looks great
My landlord installed this for me yesterday and it looks great and seems solid. No drips. Compared to my old faucet, the flow seems almost doubled. Very happy with everything so far.

Poorly made, broke within two months.
Absolute piece of junk that broke a week after it couldn’t be returned. Don’t waste your time, price is great but product is trash.

Faucet sprayer leaks
Lookes nice. Had to turn my water pressure down as it clunked when I turned either side on. After a couple of weeks the strayer started dripping water out. Cannot get it to stop. I have a facecloth wrapped around the bottom to stop it. I have to keep squeezing out the water!! Would have returned it but cost me $70 to install, would cost $70 to take it put then I have to buy another and pay another install. 🙁 unhappy

Five stars, other reviewers are right
This even arrived in a nice decorative box and neatly packed as if I just purchased a $1,000 item. I never even had a second thought about plumbing in my life even though I am handy in a lot of other areas... however I am selling my first home to upgrade and decided to spruce up my current home and amazed at how easy it is to install new faucets. All you need is a wrench and its best to use safety goggles to prevent stuff from flying into your eyes while you are looking up under your sink while unscrewing stuff. I replaced all of my sinks with new faucets and really makes the whole house look more nicer than the old 90s style ugly cheap faucets (even though my home was built in 2009). I almost didn't buy a new kitchen faucet since some people say that water filters will not work with it but you can see where I uploaded a pic of my Pur water filter and it fits just fine. The water even feels smoother as it pours out since it flows up the longer tube and comes out like a waterfall. A very high quality faucet I am very happy.

I'd ordered this unit despite a few worrisome reviews that hinted at a less than stellar build quality, but decided to risk it regardless. I hired a certified plumber for the install which went smoothly, and everything went well for the first two weeks of use. Then a couple of days ago the spray head ceased functioning properly, only working at the wide angle setting -- the steady stream setting no longer worked. Worse, the wide angle setting only worked if I kept the button firmly depressed -- letting it go immediately shut off the flow. I e-mailed the manufacturer but have not heard back. In the meantime I ordered a third party replacement head (which arrived today) and it actually works better than the stock part -- three settings, and with a higher flow rate to boot. So the old adage that you get what you pay for seems to hold true here.

*Seller offered a complete refund with the defective product. Return was easy to do with no issues.* Installed this faucet with no issues. Actually pretty straight forward. Upon completion I went to turn on the faucet and the water pressure has dropped significantly with both buttons tested. My old faucet had more pressure. Not sure what is wrong perhaps defective cartridge or something. Had a plumber come and take a look and he didn’t see any issues with my installation. We both came to the conclusion that it’s the faucet. The faucet seems well built and very sturdy once mounted. I reached out to the seller to see what they will do. If no response it’s going back. Will update my review and rating after I hear back from the seller.
