"barcode sticker" on side that you see-
We removed a wood stove from our living room recently, and the flue box was still attached to the celing (goes through the celing into the attic, and out the roof) we need a "cover for the round hole. This product did the trick for a "insert". Just like a few other buyers, mine too had the "barcode sticker" on the outside of the product, and the glue is difficult to remove completely, thankfully, we'll be painting ours so it won't be as noticeable.

End Cap Well Constructed - Annoying Sticker
How do you review an stove pipe end cap? In general this item is well constructed for what it is, was packed well enough by Amazon, fit in the prescribed 8" hole. I guess I was just wishing that the manufacturer and/or seller could put the annoying, residue-leaving, pain in the product sticker... I don't know... ANYWHERE ELSE except the front face of the cap that shows when it is installed. A 3 hour tour in the sink with some dish soap seems to have gotten rid of most of the residue, but I can't help but sit here and think: butwhy.gifProduct: +4 starsPoor Choice of Sticker Placement: -2 stars

Best purchase for emergency, an help keep Fla home so much cooler, $70 cheaper electric bill too.
I'm in Florida, about an hr south of Daytona and we had an afternoon storm an guessing by weather report that we, my neighborhood had a water spout actually come ashore, I'm 7 miles from ocean, but my chimney took a hit an the hole wide open with another 3 plus inches on way! Fireplaces are not here like up north, so not one place within 150 miles from me even carry anything for Fireplaces except fire logs, not wood for my wood burning, so AMAZON TO RESCUE, we actually put 5 gallon bucket upside down with gorilla tape, fyi 60 plus mph gusts and I will never use duct tape again, but kept water out of house and the next day I got the "CAP" and I had to go buy a 8 inch clamp for extra security and I didn't buy the other cap yet bc summer in Florida and honestly I've seen my electric bill come down $70/month since using this cap bc flute shut before an ac still getting out an could hear wind's from the Fireplace. So I'll be doing another review for the other new one when it gets cold enough to use Fireplace again! But amazing quality everyone an cheap enough to actually use it like I am to keep rains, woodpeckers, yes woodpeckers that cop's have removed from inside the Fireplace, and chain/glass doors to release out front door, but really house is so much cooler and dry! Best price an no complaints, fastest free prime next day bc June is the most rain and storms everyday. Will definitely be a returning customer!

Exactly what I expected
It functions and fits as expected! We removed a wood stove and this fit perfectly in the wall of the chimney (stove pipe hole) until we decide if we want to replace the wood stove or not. This looks better than stuffing the clay hole with insulation or anything else.

Why is there a sticker super glued to the front of this???
The product itself was fine. My complaint is that there was a bar coded UPC sticker stuck to the front of it, and it is impossible to remove it completely without using chemicals. Even then there is glue residue that I can’t remove, and there are visible marks where we tried to scrape it off. Can’t the sticker go on the back of it?

Sticker is way too hard to remove
Stitcher on face is adheared with a stupidly strong adhesive once I finally got it off ( soaking with lighter fluid for about 30 hrs) l had to repaint😖

Sealed up my wood burning stove hole perfectly!
The edges are crimped yet flexible enough to mold the piece to fit holes that are not perfectly smooth/round. I used this to fill the hole in my floor left by the previous owner's wood burning stove, worked like a charm!
