NECASeries 2 Aliens Sergeant Windrix 7" Action Figure

It's a really good figure. It includes lot's of accessories to go with it. I also really appreciate the fact that this figure was actually made to commemorate an actual real life Windrix who is suffering with Cancer I believe. I kinda wish it came with a helmet even though it's suppose to show his face. I got it for about 12 dollars which is super cheap for a good quality figure. If it was 25 I may have given it a 4 but it's not so here's 5!

Articulation is top notch, the paint is applied precisely and carefully, and the sculpt is excellent. I would almost have preferred if the head and hands had been sculpted from the flesh colored plastic Neca used for their Predator Dutch figures, but that's a very minor nitpick. This is an excellent figure, I definitely recommend it.

After hearing the heartbreaking tale of Mr. Windrixs' condition I had to have this figure. He is just as awesome as Hicks and Hudson, I am proud to have him in my collection and proud to be a collector of NECA toys. This is a great and rare figure that all Aliens fans should have and display.

I like the quality of the Mecca aliens figures.This sgt windrix is not a character from the 1986 movie. Since the did not make an apone it is a good stand in. Or base model to make an apone. The sgt uniform looks the same, except for the armor markings. Cool figure.

great figure by neca . they always have high sculpts . good as a collectible . as for a kids toy I would recommend it for an older kid as a highly articulate figure there are a lot of small moving parts not suitable for younger kids .

What an amazing way to show how much you love your brother! Kyle is such a great man for doing this! I grew up with Craig, we graduated high school together. What an honor it was to know him. We are from a very small town in rural Oklahoma, Purcell. Everyone that knew Craig fell in love with him the minute they met him. Craig did some of the funniest things, things that took you by surprise and made you laugh so hard you'd cry. This is my way to pay my respects to Craig, and remember him forever. He fought a very hard fight and will be missed by so many. Rest in peace my friend. Until we see you again

Absoluta exceléncia en todos sus acabados. Adopta cualquier posición y tiene hasta el más minimo detalle.Volvería a comprarlo... aunque la cara del muñeco no es muy parecida al ersonaje real.

In den USA ist die außergewöhnliche Geschichte um die Entstehung dieser Action-Figur sehr bekannt, in Deutschland bisher nicht. ''Sergeant Craig Windrix'' kommt nämlich in keinem ALIEN-Film oder ALIEN-Spiel vor. Was also hat es mit dieser Figur auf sich?Craig Windrix war eine reale Person und der Bruder von Kyle Windrix, einem der Skulpteure der Firma NECA, und zudem ein großer Fan der ALIEN-Filme. Leider war er an Krebs erkrankt und hat lange um's Überleben gekämpft. Am Ende hat der Krebs gesiegt, doch Craig Windrix durfte noch miterleben, wie NECA ihn als tapferen ''Colonial Marine' im Rang eines Sergeants als Action-Figur auf den Markt brachte und ihm damit ein kleines Denkmal für seinen Mut und seine Tapferkeit setzte. Eine ungewöhnliche Art des Tributs und sicher nicht jedermanns Geschmack, aber bestimmt hat sich Craig Windrix über diese sehr spezielle Ehrung gefreut, zumal die Figur mit seinem Gesicht von seinem eigenen Bruder gestaltet worden war.Als ich von dieser Geschichte erfuhr, war ich davon sehr bewegt, und schon deshalb durfte diese Figur in meiner Sammlung nicht fehlen. Davon abgesehen ist ''Sergeant Craig Windrix'' eine ideale Ergänzung zu ''Corporale Hicks'' und ''Private Hudson''. Wie man es von NECA nicht anders gewohnt ist, besticht die Figur durch ihre überaus detaillierte Gestaltung, sorgfältige Bemalung und hochwertige Verarbeitung.Das Outfit entspricht in allen Einzelheiten der Kampfausrüstung der ''Colonial Marines'', wie man sie aus dem Film ALIENS - DIE RÜCKKEHR, den Spielen und von den anderen NECA-Figuren aus dieser Serie kennt. Sie ist aber trotzdem individuell an Craig Windrix angepasst, z.B. bei der Beschriftung des Brust-Harnischs.Als Zubehör gibt es einen Flammenwerfer, die auf dem Rücken befestigte Lampe und einen Motion Tracker. Natürlich kann der Sergeant auch die Pulse Rifle oder Hicks' Schrotflinte halten, die es als Zubehör zu den anderen Figuren gibt. Zahlreiche, teilweise sehr gut getarnte Gelenke, machen die Figur überaus beweglich, so dass sie in unterschiedlichste Posen gebracht werden kann.Die Figur hat die NECA-typische Größe von 7 Inch (ca. 18 cm) und wird in der ebenfalls typischen Blister-Verpackung geliefert. Viele Händler bieten die Figur zu günstigen Preisen von unter 20,- EUR an, wozu ich nur sagen kann: klare Kaufempfehlung!Als Spielzeug halte ich die Figur nur für bedingt geeignet, denn trotz der hohen Verarbeitungsqualität sind die Gelenke nicht derart belastbar, wie man es von anderen Actionfiguren kennt, die speziell für Kinder gemacht sind. Für die Vitrine oder zur eigenen künstlerischen Interpretation des ALIEN-Themas, z.B. in selbstgebauten Dioramen, eignet sie sich jedoch ganz hervorragend.
