Works well, heavy but give it time and it does the job. This does not peel off previous layers but sand of dead layers. Have patience and move it slow. Love the led lighting. Makes a difference during sanding.

I have been doing drywall for over 30 years and up until this thing I have been using traditional hand sanding blocks or an 18v corner-cat sander in one hand and a shop-vac to suck up the dust in the other. Today was my first time using this machine and I was able to sand an entire master bedroom and 2 closets will all brand new drywall in under an hour and with only 2 sanding discs. This would usually take me about 3 hours with my other methods. But I would have also been covered in dust too. I connected the hose of this sander to the hose of my shopvac and it did an outstanding job of sucking up I would say 90% of the dust. Now this sander (IS) "heavy and loud" as others have stated, but the tradeoff vs job time is well worth it. Includes a bunch of goodies and a nice storage bag. The LED lights worked excellent in showing the highs and lows in the drywall and necessary to see what you are doing. Build quality seems great and the grips are ergonomic and comfortable. I hope to get many years out of this machine. (Update!: Sadly on day two and only about 1.5hours of total usage the LED's in the light strip began to flicker and almost all have gone out. The sander still does a great job but without the LEDs it's hard to see what I am doing. Unfortunately it's going back! I really liked using it up until that.)

So far so good! It has worked great at removing the popcorn off our ceilings. Very sturdy and seems to be a good quality product, and the built-in light is very helpful. I had been hand-scraping, then sanding our ceilings, so my husband bought this for me thinking it would make the job easier on me. Well, yes and no. It works great. The popcorn comes off easily and it leaves the ceiling smooth and ready to paint. It took about half the time it took me to do any of the other rooms by hand. BUT the long handle and its weight made it too difficult for me to use. It's just awkward and I had a hard time finding a comfortable grip. So my husband ended up doing the work for me - BONUS! LOL! It does produce a fair amount of dust (not as much as hand scraping/sanding though). So, I would still recommend putting up tarps or drop clothes to contain the dust in the area you are working in, and definitely where a face mask! So far we have only used it with the included dust bag - there was probably 50% in the bag and 50% on the floor. When "we" are ready to tackle the next room, we'll probably try attaching it to our shop-vac to see if that helps.

The tool is far too heavy with an awkward design that quickly caused blisters at the pressure point of my hand. The attached vacuum is pointless—it barely picks up debris, makes the tool bulkier, and can’t be shut off, forcing you to use an unnecessary extension. If redesigned to be lighter, or with some kind of stand or support for overhead work, it would be far more conducive and user-friendly. GET RID OF THE SUCTION! It does nothing.

Worked perfect sanding the pool down. Was so much faster than doing it by hand. Saved us a lot of time and turned out very smooth.

It's a great tool if it works. Suction isn't good unless you hook it to a vacuum. Sanding was working well for 45 min then a smell of burning electric and the unit seized. Get the product designed right and I'd recommend, but currently not a recommended purchase.

Works really well. Kinda heavy, but able to lift over head to sand my ceiling. Was able to do in less than an hour what would have taken hours by hand. Bag is easy to empty. Very happy with my purchase. Recommend!
