really great item
got it for my son for Christmas. I was shocked how well this works worth every penny.

Quick and simple to use
I added the instructions since it literally tells you how to use it. some people had a hard time with this tool when instructions are included lol smh… so simple to use. Pop batteries in and you’re good to go. Worked on braided line and mono. Much quicker than pulling by hand. Happy to have this tool!

It isnt a super high quality product that i expect to last forever
It isnt a super high quality product that i expect to last forever, however it really makes stripping line off rods a breeze. Mine has not broken yet unlike other reviews suggest. It does seem like it would wear out after a while though. I dont think its meant to last forever, with that said i really like mine. If it breaks and there isnt a better option ill buy another one.It did not work out of the box, I cannot remember exactly what i had to repair. But it was a quick and simple fix. I believe it was a bent contact no connecting to battery well.

Not cost effective to return
There was a missing contact in the battery compartment. Wouldn't work. Can't return because there's no ups pickup. It would cost as much to ship back. Not worth it. Made in China. Lesson learned

AWESOME!
Despite the fact that I drooped it onto a hardwood floor the minute I got it, it did not stop this thing from working. I used to wrap the old line on cardboard and twist my arm off getting the old line off to re-spool every year. A friend recommended this little gem and man you can strip a bait-caster in about 30 seconds! It is a MUST have. If this one breaks, I would get another immediately.

If you want to strip line off of your fishing rod and especially if you have numerous rods, this is the ticket Works great.

It will get the job done
for the money it will strip line off a reel. The little door that covers the batteries keeps coming off and it is a tad on the weak side .But for the price it works .I do like the little grinding stone hook sharpener on it.
