200 Pound Hook - Neodymium Rare Earth Magnet, Grade N48

Will it lift 200 pounds? I can't tell you. I know that I can't, so I don't think it will ever be an issue. From the strength of the pull I can tell you that if it gets ahold of a flat steel surface, you're going to have to do some serious persuasion to get it to let go. Magnet is extremely weak with maybe 20# of attraction to ferrous metal, to say it is a 200# magnet is a joke. I have an 80# hook-magnet that was at its limit and the reason for wanting a stronger 200# hook-magnet, well this 200# magnet can't even hold a fraction of my current 80# magnet.

I found a solid, flat iron surface and could hang off of it easily. Help up to about 200 pounds, at 210 it finnally came of. Took me half an hour just to get it off. It’s absolutly amazing.

This magnet lives up to its claims. It's the most powerful magnet I've ever seen for its size. One word of caution though - Be very careful with this magnet. It is not a toy and will hurt you very badly if you accidentally find your fingers between it and its destination!!

I added an adhesive felt disk (furniture pad) to the magnet to keep it from scratching whatever surface I put it on. The pad is exactly the same diameter and makes this magnetic monster manageable.

Wow! These are monster grippers. When they are on metal, they are very tough to pull off. They shipped my two in separate foam wraps to keep them apart. Love 'em!

This hook can hold just about everything! I used this when I was in Afghanistan and it was a great space saver!
