Perfect fan for nursery
I was skeptical at first; however I am very happy we bought this fan. It only has two speed settings but that’s all you need. It’s also not loud and it gives the room the perfect breeze so our twins are not too cold and don’t have wind blowing aggressively in their faces. You don’t need to buy an expensive fan…this one is well priced and does the job.

AMAZING! Gamechanging device.
If you have a room in your house that gets colder than others during winter, you NEED this!We have it in our 18 month oldest room where it tends to get colder than the rest of the house due to windows and proximity to thermostat. This heating fan helps us to regulate the temperature very simply and safely so that our daughter can rest well at night. Thanks Vornadobaby!

Great small and portable fan!
We were in the market for a small fan for my son's nursery as he sleeps with his door closed all night and it can get stuffy in there, so we wanted some air flow to help reduce the risk of SIDs. This fan isn't very loud, even when it's on the highest setting. But it's loud enough if you're looking for a calming white noise option. We usually keep it on the lowest setting to allow for good airflow but not make it cold for him. Bringing it on vacations is nice too because it's small and the cord wraps up and is stored in a compartment underneath it. Even if you don't have a baby, this could be nice for a small apartment/room that may not have a ceiling fan!

Perfect for babies/ toddlers
I use these in the bedrooms. I’m comforted knowing my baby can’t get her fingers in the blades.

It's a fan.
Like other reviewers said (and I failed to listen)...it's just a fan. Sure it's baby proof in that you have to press down on the power switch and then slide it left and right to go on and off, and the slots are fairly small to prevent fingers from reaching in, but that's about it. It makes a lot of creaking noises when you're turning it on and off or adjusting the fan tilt direction, which is agitating.. So if you're trying to keep a baby from waking up or staying chillaxed, you better not bother fidgeting with the fan.In terms of circulation and cooling factor, I wouldn't say it circulates air any better than any other fan. If anything, because it doesn't oscillate, I feel like it might circulate not as well. I also wish there was a medium setting. Low is like someone is whispering in your ear, and high is like being stuck in a wind tunnel. The look of the fan and the colors are nice, so it doesn't feel like an eyesore in the nursery.

Love it!
This is for me. I am 59 and hot all the time, even at my comfort zone of 65F. I lived in SW PA from birth to the age of 41, moved to North GA. I have always hated the heat and humidity, which there is way to much of here in the summer. Since our AC is not working, in the summer I sit with a strong fan 3 ft from me blowing right on me. Now it seems I am hot in the winter too, sigh. The 'summer' fan is to strong and cold even on low. This fan's high setting is the other fans low setting and the low setting is just right for winter, not to cold yet keeps me cool when I need it, and is, like the 'summer' fan it sits on a table 3 ft from me. And the foot print is very small. Now if you are getting this for a baby and bed you do not already have a white noise machine in the nursery I would get the Vornadobaby Breesi LS Nursery Air Circulator, Light + Sound Machine. It is only slightly bigger than this one. A sound machine is good to have for a baby, it will sooth and drown out other noises and thunder. Remember it is better to need noise to sleep, if you need noise you can also make noise, white noise, ticking clock, etc. But if you and/or a child learns to need total silence to sleep, there will be many sleepless nights. The Vornadobaby Breesi LS Nursery Air Circulator, Light + Sound Machine does what this does which is great, but it also has white noise and soothing lights,. Both of these fans are great but the extras in the Vornadobaby Breesi LS Nursery Air Circulator, Light + Sound Machine would be a big help for a new born and up to get use to.

Expensive and unfortunately, it wasn't very long-lived
Wow, this is an expensive little fan. I bought it to replace a fifteen dollar plastic Honeywell fan on my nightstand. The Honeywell couldn't be taken apart to be cleaned, and as I run the fan every night, the blades collect dust. Also, I have three-year old twins who like to stick stuff into the fan, and I couldn't get any of the stuff they'd shoved in there back out (there has been a battery in there for two years, and a quarter for about eight months). This one serves its purpose--it makes a breeze and some white noise so I can sleep. I haven't tried to take it apart yet to clean it, so I don't know how easy or difficult that will be. Supposedly, the kids can't cut their fingers off in it, which is a big plus, although we also haven't tested that theory (thankfully). I like that the cord wraps up in the bottom of the fan itself so there's not as much cord to deal with. And I LOVE the child-resistant switch. My kids loved to turn the other one on and off and on and off and on and off (repeat to infinity). I don't know if sixty-some-odd dollars is really a fair price for it, but it serves my purpose.I sleep with it on high. Low is a very, VERY light breeze, and it isn't loud enough for me to sleep by. It might be okay if you wanted a very slight breeze blowing on an infant. And it is little. Perfect size for aUPDATED, MARCH 2017: About four months ago, it started making loud noises intermittently. This would always occur when I first turned it on, and I'd turn it off and back on and the noise would stop. Then it started doing it randomly (i.e., in the middle of the night), which would wake me up. I'd turn it off and back on, and sometimes it would stop, but sometimes it wouldn't, so I'd have to leave it off. Then it progressed to doing it all the time, and no amount of turning off and back on, or smacking it, or shaking it would stop the noise. It's now unusable. So I bought a $14 fan from Target. My kids can stick their fingers in it, which I don't love. The extra cord can't be stored in the base, which I don't love. It's a little bigger than the Vornadobaby, too. But it's $14 to replace, and hopefully, my kids will outgrow their desire to stick their fingers into fans sometime soon. In the meantime, my bedroom door is locked.I'm letting it keep three stars bc it survived about as long as most people would want to use a very tiny fan blowing a small amount of wind at their baby for air circulation purposes in a crib, which is what it was probably designed for--not a lifetime of service on an adult's nightstand.

Great product
Works wonderfully in my child's room. No pinched fingers, she can't turn it on/off. Circulates air and helps cool down her room nicely.

TERRIBLE return policy for Canadians, fan lasted a month
I bought this because it was 'made in the usa', and paid more for it, thinking the quality was there.Within one month it was making a grinding noise in the motor. I called their support line and DURING a heat wave, they said to cut the cord in order to process a refund, a stupid cheque that had to be mailed. No replacement product, no swap with a better model….go out and buy another one, then we’ll give you your money in US Dollars “because that’s the best that we can do”.Poor warranty for CanadiansPoor response on issuesPoor customer service
