Solid sturdy platform. Compact yet not to small. Instructions and tools could use improvement.
I put this bench together on my own, took about twenty minutes. Most of my time was making sure the screws were in tight. It's smaller than your average gym incline bench and at first. I wasnt sure if this was going to be a concern but it turns out the size of the bench is just fine. I've been dong incline sit ups every day for about a week. No problem with screws loosening up or the board feeling off or weak. The Allen wrench that came with the product was useless. I used my own which is a larger size. Also, as simple as the instructions are laid out, "Securely tighten all Nuts and Bolts" doesnt tell you how. You need to use both the Allen and Adjustable Wrench simultaneously. For those than don't know this, they may run into a lengthy challenge as to how to accomplish this step. Overall, good sturdy product that has no immediate sign of wearing down.

Great for the price, does what it's supposed to do.
I'm a 125lb, 5' 5" woman and this bench serves my size very well. It's sturdy with just an oh-so slight amount of movement during use, especially if you are twisting your torso while doing sit-ups. But overall, very sturdy. Also I am using this on a carpeted surface which adds to that slight bit of movement during use. It took 5 minutes to put together. All you need is a ratchet or a crescent wrench to tighten 5 bolts. The top rod with the 2 pads that you put your knees around is a sliding rod - it is not fixed. Just slip the rod through the hole and put the pads on both ends. If you have hulking knees/legs, I do think that this bench will *not* fit you. The rod is not made for huge legs to wrap around it. And you wouldn't be comfortable anyway. The bottom rod has a bracket and bolt attached to it. You adjust the bench to the preferred incline and insert the rod with the welded bolt attached to it and tighten it with the triangular nut made to tighten by hand. You can see how this might get tedious if you're constantly adjusting. Although not completely a safe thing to do, I've had no problems so far with leaving the triangular nut off, allowing for faster adjustment. But since someone is now sharing it wih me I prefer to leave the nut on. I'll probably go to home depot and buy a locking pin and leave the triangular nut off altogther. Oddities: there were a few stickers on the front adjustable bar that read "APEX JD 1.1" that looked like they were put on by someone after a few drinks (all crooked) which I removed (they came off very easily). One washer was missing, no big deal. This is a great deal with the free shipping. Some vendors charge up to $25 to ship similar benches. I have just ordered the Apex JD 2.1 Flat Bench and can't wait to test it out!

Good for the price
Very minimalist when it comes to slant boards, not adjustable but it does the job itโs intended to. I havenโt had any issues with stability, for some reason when I purchase I thought it was adjustable and an easy breakdown for storage (it is neither) but it isnโt too large not to store out of the way. For the price I got it for I think it was worth it.

Good product for the price.
Is this unit as good as one would find in a professional gym . . . Absolutely not. Did it meet my expectation . . . Yes. Product arrived in great condition, everything needed to assemble was included. Easy to assemble and meets my expectations. Reasonably sturdy, Iโm 5โ8โ and 170lbs and use it every day . . . No issues. For the price I feel itโs a good buy!

Best investment I ever made!!!
I needed help from my husband to put it together. He said it wasn't too hard to assemble. It works great- helps you do sit-ups. Feels sturdy and pretty comfortable ( as comfortable as you can be in this position). Would highly recommend! My tummy is disappearing :) Lots cheaper & safer than liposuction-lol It's nice & lightweight, so you can lean it up against the wall when not in use. Love it! Start off slowly - 20-25 sit ups at first, and work your way up. You will be sore for a couple of days in the beginning. A must for all women over 40!!

Good entry level piece of basic exercise equipment
Good entry level piece of basic exercise equipment. I wanted something that would allow me to do sit ups/crunches up off of the floor (and away from my inquisitive dog), and this definitely does the trick. There is little in the way of height adjustments (other than the adjusting the location of the lower leg brace), but you can easily prop either end up on books/steps/bricks if you wanted to increase or decrease the angle of the board. As for stability, I am a big guy (290 lbs), and it has been strong and stable enough for me to do my exercises on it, so there are no worries there (just make sure you have all the bolts tightened). Now for the negatives, the pads on the leg braces are rather thin (I ended up draping a folded towel over the brace that goes behind the knees for extra padding), and the bars that hold them are not locked into place, so as you get on/off and do your exercises, they can shift one way or the other (pushing the pads along with them). I wrapped some duct tape around the upper bar on either side of the center support to keep it from wandering, and it largely has solved that issue, but the pads still sometimes need to be pushed back on. The migrating brace pads is further exacerbated by the overall narrowness of the set up, and while this narrowness hasn't affected the stability (so far, maybe if I start doing more intense exercises that will change), I do have to be extra cautious about keeping my knees close together so that they are able to brace against the pads and hold my legs in place while I work out. All in all, if you are looking for an entry level slant board for doing your sit ups/crunches on, this will in all likelihood work for you, but if you are looking to do intensive workouts on it, your might want to consider a slightly more robust option.

Quality Product at a Bargain Price
This is a VERY INEXPENSIVE slant board. I bought it even though many reviews criticized the leg holding bar placement. I am glad i bought it because it is a quality product at a bargain price. Its a slant board, you don't need to wrap you foot under and knees over the bars. In fact you should aboid it due to the strain it can place o your legs and knees. The bars do have some adjustments and if you perform slow and smooth motions you will be fine. Thats really how exercises are meant to be done. Jerking yourself up using your legs diminishes the benefit to your core muscles and that is the point of s slant board. Its also easy to assemble. My 13 year old assembled it without any of my help.
