After using this soap several times, I honestly like it. It cleans stronger than ordinary soap and does seem to help with certain skin conditions, such as acne.First, the physical aspects. Dudu-Osun black soap feels as solid as normal soap and seems to melt no quicker when wet with water from use. Based on what I've read, these properties aren't true of raw African black soap, which is a distinct form of black soap. Raw black soap is softer and water can quickly make it fall apart.Next, the cleaning action and effects. Compared to normal soap, this black soap really does seem to clean more aggressively. It produces a great lather and my skin feels very clean after washing off. It feels like I've just used a good cleanser or astringent on myself. Furthermore, this soap hasn't overly dried my skin, but that's probably because this soap contains shea butter, which works as a moisturizer. That said, even Dudu-Osun's website cautions about this soap's drying effects and they don't recommend using it for your hair. I don't see seem to have any problem with using it on my hair, but you may want to sample it on yours to see how it works for you.On to skin benefits. Probably the most interesting claim about African black soap is that it can help relieve some skin conditions such as dermatitis and acne. I'm not sure how much this soap helps with other conditions, but after several months of use, it seems to do little with acne. My acne has faded slightly, but otherwise hasn't gone away. Other people report that this soap has cleared their acne, but at least in my case, it's not a wonder product that can make your acne disappear within a week.Dislikes. This soap is a little too fragrant. Although the scent smells sweet and a little flowery, its a bit strong and has diffused throughout my entire bathroom. It's not so bad that I can't breath through my nose comfortably, but the scent is always in the air stimulating your sense of smell. Tolerable, but not ideal.A bigger concern is itching. During the first month or so of use, I noticed that patches of my skin would start itching unusually soon after I used black soap. It would last a matter of hours, but then go away. I believe this is because of the soap's drying effect despite the shea butter ingredient. However, I think my skin has become used to the soap because the itching now barely occurs and at much less severity when it does.In closing, this is a very neat soap to try. It holds better than raw African black soap and is price competitive with the other solid bar brands. I might try other brands to see how they compare with alleviating acne, but I can definitely see myself buying more Dudu-Osun in the future. It just cleans well and I like it.

It’s literally 1.5 x’s the size of most other soap bars…This soap gives a wonderful lather just like any other black soap does, now when I’m done w my shower I always baby oil down to keep my skin soft, youthful, and moisturized bcuz I’m not about to worry about taking care of ash anywhere on me I do not do ash! But I will say if you do not use any oil or lotions or butters after your shower you will not need to after using this soap!!! It is so soft and moisturizing, it’s absolutely amazing…Thank you 🙏🏾 for such a great product, I’m definitely a new and satisfied customer 😌

I love this brand and the original fragrance of Black Soap. However, this last order smelled the same but not a strong enough fragrance. I have always thought that if clean had a smell, it would smell like the tropical Dudo-Osun. Usually, this great smell is evident before I even open the box. But this time, the sent was so light, I could barely smell it.

I had a huge problem finding out how many unnatural and abrasive ingredients were in the soap I was using in the shower to clean my body daily. I wanted to find an amazing soap with ingredients I could read and understand. I was looking for an all natural product for my body and I found this and I'm glad I did. I had a special need though, but it never ended up mattering with this product. Okay, so I had suffered with cystic acne on my neck/back for a year or so after using some ill prescribed lotion and I felt helpless. No product I could find was ever able to fully clear my neckline of the cysts I had. This soap did that and then some. Dudu Osun Black Soap has made my skin smooth, vibrant, clear and great smelling. I use this soap all over my body. I bought it for my neck and its acne benefits but I use it on my body and hair too. I live with a hairstylist and he was amazed when I told him I used only this bar of soap on my hair. I have naturally thick hair and this soap leaves it manageable and light. The soap on my body skin is exfoliating and invigorating at the same time. As it removes dirt from my skin, the all natural ingredients soften and tone it while leaving it smelling like a rain forest (it literally smells like fresh flowers). This soap is made with all natural Vitamin A. Vitamin A, when formulated for skincare, has the ability to rapidly exfoliate and cleanse skin cells. Vitamin A powers Accutane, Tazorac and Retin-A to name a few of the top prescribed topical treatments for acne. The Vitamin A in this soap comes from COMPLETELY natural sources, all of which are listed on the back of every box (there may be 6 or 7 ingredients in the soap all together). I needed a natural soap for my body acne and this WAS IT. Not only did it clear my neckline COMPLETELY, this soap leaves my body fresh and clean. It makes my hair look and feel sensational. I will say it is powerful. I wouldn't use it on my face because its that strong. It works great for my body but my facial skin is too sensitive and this stuff is powerful. This soap turned my body's skin into fantastic skin within 2 months of daily use. This soap turned my hair into the envy of hairdressers. This soap is all natural. GO FOR IT. It leaves my bathroom and my body smelling like a garden. EXACTLY.

I am sooooo happy with ordering through this place. I order three soaps every couple of weeks. A natural product. So comforting. Black soap is the very best! Good deal of course.
