I liked everything. Required reading for everyone interested in world politics and the actual turmoil in South America and the strange acts of Trump. Terrible times are waiting for us if the west acts so cowardly

I think by now Americans understand that winning the cold war did not result in any success over or in Russia. Russia became an organized crime state and Don Putin has been scamming the west for 20 years now, by exporting organized crime, encouraging hacking against western institutions, and other strategies from the fraudsters toolbox. For a guy who pays homage to the defunct USSR, Putin sure craves kleptocracy and has no interest in changing that.The book is well written, objective, and easy to read. Lots of resources went into writing it.Too bad many Russian people are very susceptible to conspiracy theories, obscurantism, the occult, sham elections, civil rights suppression, censorship, dependent judiciary, corruption, bribery, and many highly esteemed of mafia. Some of the people Putin murdered perhaps deserved it, but there have been too many innocent people too.Tony Blair was the Neville Chamberlain of the 21st century. I’ve been perplexed on how western leaders can be diplomatic and cozy up with a murderer, all because of the f. dirty money.Michelle Young was much the gold digger.All Rumpists should read this book.Good thing Russian sanctions have been placed and I hope they continue.The Evil Empire reference made by Reagan is actually more applicable to Putin's Russia.USA!, USA!, USA!

This is an absolutely fascinating and bone-chilling book. Reading it was like having a box of chocolates open in front of me: do I follow my passions and eat the box in a single day, or be rationale and stretch it out over several days. I managed to stretch reading the book out over 36 hours.

A "holy cow" read. One of my best reads of 2019. Anyone that wonders how Putin could possibly hold something over Trump should read thisTrump wishes he were Putin for these reasons. Also very shocking how English government turned the other cheek while it's citizens were being murdered

Putin has unleashed a blood curling totalitarianism that is second only to Stalin and Hitler. The issue is our leaders are turning their heads to it while Putin continues to broaden its reach and make himself richer than any other person on earth. Wake up world to this horrible leader of a huge nation!!!

I read this right after I read Meadows BLOWOUT and this is even more terrifying because it reflects on the carnage that ensues from the criminal enterprises that emerge when enormous amounts of money corrupt individuals and governments.

A useful enough catalogue of Putin’s bloodletting in London over the past ten years. But it would have been a better book if it had demonstrated more clearly the link between the various victims, and if it had not been written in that hideous soggy American investigative journalism prose style (‘it was snowing hard at 430 on that cold December morning as 53 year old grey haired ex-marine John Smith gunned his 2012 Chevy convertible down the freeway’. Not a quote, but a made up illustration of the sort of guff with which this book is packed. Decent editing would have cut it out.)

I bought this book after it was reviewed on Radio 5Live.Extremely readable and well researched, I would recommend this to anyone who has followed Anglo Russian relations in the last 25 years.Well done Heidi and thank you

Great book and the stories are riveting.The author deserves plenty of congratulations for making sucha great book that i could not simply put it down.Very well researched and opens the readers eyes to the goings on of Putin and Russia in the western world.

I thought I was pretty well informed on Putin and Russia until I read this. The sheer number of people who have angered the Kremlin and come to a untimely end plus the suspicious factors around the supposed Chechen terror attacks in Moscow will shock you

A well researched book that has really joined up all the dots when it comes to Putin's drive to quiet his critics. I couldn't put this book down having just finished reading "Red Notice" by Bill Browder. Red Notice is about Browders fight to expose the massive tax fraud by the state. His lawyer Sergei Magnitsky who investigated the fraud is killed by the state and huge cover up takes, place. At the heart of it all is Putin. Mentioned in the book are a number of murders, this book gives context to those murders and much more.As result of this book I now going to read Alexander Litvinenkos book about the apartment bombings "Blowing up Russia".This book highlighted how week our government is, how inept they are in dealing with Putin who has pushed boundaries way beyond reasonable limits. We must be the laughing stock in. Russia, who possibly thinks we can do want we on British soil safe in the knowledge nothing will happen. Absolute joke.Fantastic book shame it came to an end.
