I gave this car to a friend for his birthday. The “Start Cars” are inexpensive slot cars meant for younger children. They are designed to take a beating and come with stickers so kids can personalize them. They’re also great for older kids or adults who want to experiment on them. Adding magnets or changing tires (or even motors) can shave seconds off your lap time. The care ran very smoothly and quietly right out of the package and my friend is looking forward to making some modifications to increase the speed and handling. The price is about half of most of the licensed cars so if something goes wrong, it’s not a great loss. I recommend this car.

If someone isn’t experienced, good car to learn with. If fly’s off track, won’t break easy!!

Car is way too light and rolls easily and pops out of track - will need modifying to be useful - looks durable - keep this one on hand for people who crash all the time...

For the price it's a nice car.

For this car it was fun putting the decals on it and getting it ready for the track. However, it's like all of the other cars that use this mesh contact system underneath the car to contact the track. A little bit archaic.

this one didnt work well for me.... I recently purchased a new scalextric 1:32 track... and I have about 15-20 other cars that work flawlessly on it.... but this one is the only one that goes a few feet then just stops and wont go until you push it a bit.... then it goes for another few feet then stops again..... and this is the ONLY car that does this..... if I could time travel, I would not have bought this one! maybe i just got unlucky and got a defect or something.... *Edit* - it just took some "breaking in" I guess.... because after about 15 tries, now it works flawlessly!!
