Perfect for beginners (but practice makes perfect) and a good refresher for enthusiasts.

I bought this book as a beginner in the Linux OS environment. It has been a great resource as a prepare to advance my skills and move toward a certificate with Linux. The author does a great job of presenting and laying out how Linux operates and how to configure the operating system.

One thing I found that was extremely helpful was the markers on the side of the pages when it covered the exam objectives.

Used this book to study for and pass the exam. I also recommend looking up Shawn Powers on Youtube. He did an excellent video series on the exam objectives

I bought primarily for the online tools which I could not access. The book and description say to go to a website, but that website asks for a pin. Which it does not tell you where that is, and I could not find it. The book overall is well written and lots of good info, but is a little outdated. I was very frustrated about not accessing the online tools. WIthout that I think this is a waste.UPDATE: was able to access the online tools after calling their help line. Customer service rep was great, but its still ridiculous to me that the book and website don't explain how to get an access code.
