Elgin 1.3" LCD Display Date and Indoor Temperature Alarm Clock

i have so much trouble getting up in the morning i decided to get another alarm clock. i have used this for about 6 months now, no problems. i like that it tells the date and temperature as well as the time. not overly fancy but a great product for the price.

Great item at a great price! I wish the numbers were backlit so I couldSee the time from across the room.

This is the second clock of this nature I have purchased....Excellent clocks and their battery powered..I would recommend this clock to everyone..

This is a pretty decent little alarm clock. Unlike some reviewers, I've never had a problem with it functionally -- it's not lost the date, the display still works and still lights up, and the alarm is loud and allows both "snooze" and "off" options, so that you can either push the button and kill it, or take a brief snooze between alarms. I'd give it a five star review, except for one detail -- the angle of the display.Because the display is angled backwards, rather than simply vertical, even when it's backlit, the actual digits can't always be seen unless you actually reach and tilt the clock so that it faces you. This wouldn't be a problem if it was a fully-lit electronic display, but with an LCD display, this becomes an issue. However, that's only enough to dock it one star for me. Mostly, I use it as an alarm clock more than as a timekeeping piece -- and in that regard, it's always performed very well.

It's hard to read the face of the clock from any angle other than straight on. It's ok if your bedside table is at eye level, but mine sits up a bit so I have to sit up to read it. The face also doesn't light up and beeps when you hit the backlight button.If you want a cheap desktop clock this will do you, but it's not a good bedside clock.

The product was exactly what my grandmother wanted -- large buttons, good features. Unfortunately, the light for the display died within 4 months and there is nothing in the directions on whether or how to replace it. Now, my grandmother keeps a flashlight next to her bed to see what time it is when it's dark. She really likes it otherwise, and I wish this part of it had worked better.

Very pretty little clock. It is easy to operate and it is easy to see. It even displays the temperature in the room.

great clock - wish it was continually back lit for night time instead of having to press a button to light it up!
