Another collection of The Isley Brothers Band which is fantastic, it's full of all the best songs, for a great price you get something priceless with this album.

The Isleys period that most appeals to me is the mid-1970's,specifically the albums Harvest For The World and 3+3. Although I would ordinarily buy the individual albums I used to own this one and always found it sufficient to my needs as it contains classic tracks from both albums; That Lady, Summer Breeze, Harvest For The World and more.Perhaps after a few more listens I might be persuaded to shell out somewhere between £10 - £15 to buy the original albums on cd, but I have to say at under 2 quid,including postage, this is an absolute bargain and one I could not resist.If you're interested in the Isleys before or after this period then this cd isn't going to do it for you and there are several others available that showcase their careers more completely,but I'm only too happy to stick with this for the time being.And now I've got it I can't wait for summer.

This is an easy five stars. It's the sound of summer. You don't need words just buy it put in into your CD player and listen your going to be transported to hot sticky days the smell of freshly cut grass the smell of cooking bacon on the wind. EnjoyMart

The isley brothers are a band that have been around since the golden age of music. They have the ability to play pop soul, rock, every one should own this cd. As they are a band that everyone can enjoy.

Superfast delivery. Great value and such a great CD to listen to. Harvest For The World and Summer Breeze are my favourite tracks to listen to.

Great CD came quick

The Isley Brothers have had their problems in their long career including deaths, line-up changes, financial struggles, and prison sentences. Nonetheless, with the likes of the million-selling ‘Shout’ and the Grammy award-winning ‘It’s Your Thing’, this funk soul group managed to reach the Billboard Hot 100 during the 1950s, 1960s, 1970s, 1980s, 1990s, and 2000s.However, Forever Gold – which contentiously chooses to describes itself as “a collection of their greatest hits” - only focusses on a three-year period: 1973 to 1976. To be fair, it covers that commercially successful spell quite well. ‘That Lady’, ‘Fight The Power’, and ‘For The Love Of You’, are all here in their original uncut versions, alongside their highly effective covers of Todd Rundgren’s ‘Hello It's Me’ and Seals & Crofts’ ‘Summer Breeze’.The one unusual selection here is the rocking ‘Hope You Feel Better’, from 1975's The Heat Is On, which doesn’t get compiled half as often as it should.
