Llevé la batería y el control a un técnico, de estos que reparan electrónicos porque la batería está soldada a la placa. Lo cambió al instante y me cobró 3 dólares por hacerlo.

2007 BMW 328i. Spare FOB dead battery and wouldn't charge. Looked at videos of showing battery replacement. I can do that. Ordered and received this battery. Started cutting FOB apart. 30 min later, after trying various razor blades and other cutting and thin prying tools, FOB finally came apart. Observed that mating surfaces (where new adhesive will go) are now sort of messed up. Un-soldered old battery connection OK. Looks like the shape of the connectors won't let the new battery seat flush with the board (as some other reviews note). Tried to cut back the sides of the connectors and failed because these things are way smaller than any of my tools. So I soldered in the new battery while trying like hell to push it against the circuit board. Of course it wasn't as flush as it needed to be to enable the two FOB plastic shells to mate properly. So I whittled some ridges from the inside of the battery-side shell, and decided that this will enable the shells to mate OK . But they don't mate cleanly due to the messy surfaces caused by residual old adhesive and my cutting. So spent 20 minutes sanding these surfaces. Now finally ready to apply super-glue to these very thin surfaces. Not so easy to lay a nice thin bead all the way around. Can't go too slow for obvious reasons. Quick press shell halves together (with board and battery inside) and hope they are aligned OK.Success! The FOB doesn't fall apart. Moreover, it opens and closes doors and trunk, and it enables car to start when inserted in ignition.

Overall it worked well once I trimmed the width of the leads before soldering into the PCB. Without the trimming, the battery will not lay flat. Overall a good purchase.

Used this battery for my 2006 R53 Mini Cooper-S with the 3 button key fob. This battery requires that you de-solder the old one and solder in this new one to the printed circuit board within the key fob. If you are buying this battery for the same application be aware of the need to split open the sealed key fob (which I don't believe is made to come apart) and also that you need to have the tools to perform the de-soldering and re-soldering. After performing those procedures and gluing the fob back together my key fob buttons function perfectly once again.

Not to deride the product itself. It may be perfect. I did solder it in to replace a failed unit. However, the application (garage door transmitter) did not work afterwards. Could have been that another component was to blame.

So does e65 replacement but doesn't quite fit. It probably fits newer model key fobs. The spot welded on tabs were too wide for the slot in the circuit board. When I gently tried to cut down the tab with nippy cutters the tab fell off. Can't really solder it back on, that would overheat the battery. Not very pleased with how delicate the spot welding was.

Wasn’t exactly a perfect fit, but it worked just fine. I’d give it 5 stars if it was perfect fit. But required some squishing.Few months later the battery died.So a lifespan of what, 3 months? Not oem quality at all. And it’s pain to replace the battery. Will be ordering a different brand this time
