Been using these reservoirs for many years. For best performance, replace them every year to year-half. Makes a big difference in quality of storage.

Finally replaced my older water cartridges, and the new ones have been awesome!. I was refilling 1once a week, now it is 3 weeks.

This basically does what it is supposed to do. It is easy to set up. It is definitely nice to be able to keep the wineador at a constant humidity level without constantly babysitting it. My husband travels a lot and this definitely is nice for him. He can get things set up and not worry while he is out of town. It is pretty simplistic. A chamber of oasis like material that you soak with distilled water. That is it. You set it in the humidor and turn it on. You can make some calibrations, but this unit was fine right out of the box.The downside is this....the unit we have turns on and off constantly. And when it is running (always) it emits a high pitched noise akin to a garbage truck backing up. You know those warning sounds they have when in reverse? Like that. Just at a low level. Loud enough to hear it in every room on the main floor. 2000 sq ft, so not exactly a small, enclosed space. I had to close the bedroom door at night to block the sound. We finally couldn't take it and moved it to the basement. This may be a fluke. But you know, it is louder than a running refrigerator with this waivering sound that could be used as a torture tool to gather information from the enemy. And it is INSIDE of the wineador.Hopefully others have not had this problem and it is an isolated instance. I have no idea though. It is not worth the bother for me to go thru the process of mailing things back and forth to find out. We just moved it to a far away room where we won't hear the noise.It works and does what we need it to do, but the noise it makes it extremely annoying. For that....two stars removed.

Great replacement for the one that I had. Truth be told I should have replaced the one I had long ago but didn't. If your Cigar Oasis seems to be running more often than it should, and the sponge in the tank dries up too quick, IT IS TIME TO REPLACE IT!! Not only did I forget how long it lasted with a fresh tank on, but this one was at least twice the size of the one that originally came with it. If you are like me and have much better things to do than constantly filling the tank because the sponge will no longer hold as much as it used to, buy this!!

I've had a cigar oasis machine for years and I was never impressed. I could never get the humidity up to 70% so I would use the machine and other humidifing devices. That changed when I ordered this replacement cartridge. I don't know if the old one was a dud or if this one which features a third hole in the middle makes the difference. Since changing cartridge my humidor has been a perfect 71% and it seems that I am not putting distilled water in as often. I am still using the same top and haven't changed anything else about humidor (except removing the other humidifing devices) so it has to be this. Next time I have to replace the cartridge, if it doesn't have 3 holes on top then I will drill one in.

Once every 3-4 years you really need to replace these cartridges to ensure your humidifier works properly! These are brand name and fit perfectly. Good product, fair price.

I've been using a few monthes. Im not sold on the interior sponge bit it does seem to be doing the job

Had an old one that was no longer working. replaced the cartridge for $25 instead of buying a new one and it works good as new. I guess the cartridge is only refillable for so long. I got about 10 years out of it. Hopefully I will get 10 years out of the replacement cartridge
