Very sharp looking, solid feeling, works great.
Got the small to go over my exo terra 18x8x18. It fits perfectly, and looks very sharp. Fits a CFL uvb bulb and a small heat bulb. Perfect for my Madagascar Day Geckos. It has one switch to control both lights, so you can't put a day bulb in one side and a night bulb in the other - but that's fine by me. It feels very sturdy, and like it will last with it's good looks for years to come.

Very great light
I bought this lighting fixture, not for a terrarium, but for an aquarium. Though it says not to, it works very great for this purpose and my plants are flourishing. As long as you make sure they don't get wet, they are the best lighting for the price. I know for those who don't have the money to buy a T5 or Metal Halide fixture, this is the next best thing. I noticed results in just a few days! I also really like the duel switches that allow for different light level. I would defiantly recommend to a reptile or fish keeper.

Works great, one cord
I shopped around a lot before settling on this light fixture. Previously I had not needed one because my enclosure was all glass, but my new one is wood and doesn't allow much light in from the room around it. Since I am using it for a gecko, there was no need to control the two bulbs seperately (as there could be with other animals), so this is perfect. It only takes up one socket, and it works great on my timer. I used a regular home-use LED bulb on one side and a ReptiSun 2.0 on the other for enrichment. They light up my new enclosure great.

Small 2 bulb fixture - Works great with LEDs
I've had this fixture setup for almost a year now in a ExoTerra 18x18x24 terrarium for my crested gecko and it's performed perfectly. I've got a digital timer and I purchased 2 E27 13W LED downlights from Ebay and my terrarium is thriving. Luckily, they fit in the fixture perfectly and because crested gecko's don't require a heat source, the set up works perfectly.

Its a hood
I use this with 2 5000k led bulbs and a plant grow bulb in the center for one of my bioactive enclosures. It fits the exoterra tank, it holds the exoterra thermos if you use them.It lights up.It does what it's supposed to do and at a decent value.

Exo Terra vs Zoo Med Terrarium Hood, 18-Inch
I own both Terrarium Hoods, here are the differences between the Exo Terra compact fluorescent 18" and the Zoo Med Naturalistic Terrarium Hood, 18-Inch1. Exo has only one switch to control both bulbs while the Zoo Med has two switches so you can control the bulbs independently.2. Exo has a 40 watt maximum incandescent rating, the Zoo Med is rated for 60 watts (both can use 26 Watt compact fluorescents)3. Exo has a wider light distribution, being 7.8" wide vs the Zoo Med width at 5"4. Exo's power cord and switch are on the right side of the fixture, Zoo Med's (two switches) are on the back. Something to consider if you are using two lights "back to back" or if you want the cord hidden on the back side.5. Exo has a Sliding rim to mount accessories such as the Exo Terra Digital Thermometer and Hygrometer, the Zoo Med has no mounts. No big deal if you don't use the accessories.6. Exo is a much nicer/cleaner looking fixture than the Zoo Med (personal opinion).Bottom Line:Like I stated I own both Terrarium Hoods and both are quality fixtures, I have both fixtures on top a Zoo Med Terrarium Naturalist 18L x 18W x 24H. The Zoo med on the back and the Exo Terra up front.I removed 1 star for maximum incandescent rating and only one switch to control both bulbsIt's a personal preference thing!Check out my "customer image"

Hard to find hood
I had a tank previously housing a baby snake that I turned into a small bioactive terrarium for some young dart frogs. I needed to find this hook but this particular size seemed hard to find on all the normal pet supply sites. Glad I found it here, it works great. I used a combo of bulbs for light and also plant growth. I think two of them might even fit over the whole top if one wanted to do that. I just sometimes move it to the front so the plants in the front of the tank benefit from the light as well.

Fire hazard
It is a good design but the products they use are crap the light fixtures milk with a 50 watt light note to the point it don't allow the lights to work properly one of the lights is positioned over a plastic piece along the screen which makes no sense considering these lights put off heat you should know it would melt the plastic why did you position it over a plastic support beam now I'm out fifty bucks for a really expensive light fixture that don't work
