Great for plecos.
Great for pleco caves. Fish safe, have not had a death yet. My super red longfins bred in these caves just the other night. I’d say it’s a great price for caves.

Gain some extra time/days until the next time to water
I love these self-watering spikes as I can easily fill the soda bottles. The spike does NOT clog and looks great with my terracotta pots. I still water the soil, and these spikes give me extra time until the next watering cycle. I prefer to use the stiffer pop bottles as the water bottles are too squishy and messy when installing.

Works great
Never tried using them for plants but watch out if u use em for fish tanks with plecos you'll end up with too many plecos u won't know what to do with them. These r pleco factories. I had to remove em after a few weeks lol.

Plant savers and good place to recycle bottles.
How amazing are these little terra cotta tubes? Saved my plants when I went on a trip and no one home to water. They really do work even in Houston heat. Wine bottles best fit. I fill the bottle every 5-7 days. Depending on rain. Definitely buying more.

Perfect moisture level for planst
Amazing keeps plants at perfect water level inside and outside use .I use them with 1 liter glass bottles and they work greatJust be careful that you don’t push the spike with the bottle in ground else the spike will break( ground has to be soft ) push spike in them put bottle in

Fragile -- they break easily
The spikes I had before were much sturdier. Two of these broke when I pushed them into the planter, even though the planter had loose potting soil, not hard compacted soil. Bummer.

terrible do not buy this kind!
I love my "plant nannies" so I saw these were lower price and assumed it was the same- NO! the water takes WEEKS to drain out of the wine bottle into the planter and all your plants would be dead if you relied on these. Wish i would have paid attention to the return window.
