Buy a SIZE UP if your layering. Great quality
Great quality. Nice fleece inside. Went on a weekend snowboard trip. These pants were perfect in the 25 degree weather. Great wind proof. I fell a few times in the snow and sat down in the snow for a few minutes at a time and Nothing seeped in. I recommend going a size up if you plan on wearing thermals or leggings underneath. Had to return my first pair bc I bought my exact size and I definitely could not layer. So go a size up! My 2nd pair fit perfect with one pair of leggings underneath. I’m normally an 8 and had to buy a 10 to be able to layer. if you really want more then one layer, I guess you can buy a pair 2 sizes up. This pant has belt loops, mine also came with a belt. I’m short (4’11) so they did touch the ground. This pant is a straight leg, does not have a wide ankle. Purchased in wine red

Not waterproof!
First of all-THES ARE NOT WATERPROOF! WEATHEproof maybe but definitely waterproof. I have to work on a boat on the ocean occasionally. I sometimes get misted and minimally splashed and sometimes I have to kneel on the deck. I was soaked the whole day. I did order a size because I might have needed to put layers under it. The other thing that sucked about these pants is there is just as much material in the front as the back which felt very uncomfortable and definitely looked stupid. They are fleece lined. The waste was also very high and in combination with all the extra material in the front was very uncomfortable. I almost gave it one star but they are technically still fleece lined pants. Oh also the diagonal zipper in the thigh is not a pocket - just a zipper for looks.

Weird body. Nice pants.
Ok....so I bought 3 different pairs of these pants. Reading the reviews, I started with a small. Which fit me everywhere, but my waistline (thanks 4 pregnancies-also early pregnant with my 5th). I returned those, and then read a few more reviews, and decided to go with a large. These were massive everywhere, but my waistline. Which it fit comfortably. I thought surely a medium will fit me just right. WRONG! The medium only seems slightly larger than the small. I was able to button them, but they gave me a nice little muffin top. However, I like how they fit otherwise...so I'm not sure if I'll return them or not, just yet. A little about my body type. I'm 5'3", currently 160lbs. So yeah, could definitely lose a few pounds, but I also have a lot of muscle mass due to weight lifting most of my life. So not a complete fluff ball. I usually wear a size 6 to 8, short, pant. Hope that helps!I've only tried these pants on, no snow or rain to test them in, but just trying them on, my legs got hot...so I venture to say that's a good sign. They also seem well made. Worth a shot.

These pants deliver!
I live in the Rocky Mountains and got these pants the day before our historic Thanksgiving Snow Storm. (Yesterday!) I was out in the driving snow that was 30" deep. 12° and with only a thin pair of leggings added, never got cold or wet. I even sat in the snow for 10 min with my family. The only disappointment was they fit a little more like ski wear and less like active pants but are still attractive and technical enough that I'm buying a second pair.Highly recommend!

They look good
They look great on. Tight on the thighs. When zippers are open it looks weird. But they feel good on. I got them in 3 colors. The green came and were 2 sizes to strong. But the other 3 colors are perfect.

Great softshell pants but they run small!
I bought these pants for my outdoor job in the rainy Pacific Northwest and they are holding up well so far. I was looking for a pair of warm, water-resistant softshell / synthetic pants made of reasonably durable material that won't snag or tear easily when I'm scrambling up and down steep terrain in the woods and working in blackberry thickets. The material itself is pretty tough and the pants are warm (and fleece-lined so they can be worn with or without baselayer pants), but I may need to revise this review if the seams, zippers, or other weak links fail prematurely. Based on the price I'm skeptical, but you never know.Like most women's pants, they are a little big in the waist/hips and a little tight in the thighs and butt. Fortunately they come with a belt. If you're like me and are built more like a sprinter than a marathon runner, you may have the same problem, and I would recommend going up a size. If you're layering, you may even want to go up two sizes, but it really depends on your body type and how you want the pants to fit. If you have skinny legs or frequently size down in pants, you may not need to size up at all. For reference, I'm 5'2, 120 lbs. and normally wear a size 2 or XS in outdoor gear and workwear, so based on other reveiwers' recommendations, I bought these in a size 4.

Great quality, a little snug.
I really like the color and quality of these pants. Fast shipping on Prime, and pants we're almost exactly as pictured and described. However, I found the women's to be a bit tight in the thigh.

Runs small
I'm giving these 3 stars because they actually seem like pretty good quality. I generally wear a solid 16 in pants. I bought the XXL. These fit more like a 12/14. If you have hips they are going to be a bit snug. They are also very low rise which I couldn't tell from the picture. That's preference, but I've never thought low-rise pants to be a good idea when you add in snow, but that's just me. They seem like they'd be warm. Seem well constructed. But the sizing is off, even though according to their sizing I should be comfortably in these with even a little bit of room.
