I'm glad I bought a pair for my 1x10 setup, as I tend to run my brake levers a fair bit inboard, and the mount marked for the left hand brake positioned the shifter properly, not the one marked R. I'm using an SLX brakeset and a SRAM XO shifter for 1x10.The parts are well made and very cleanly finished. However, there's no need to etch the identifying L and R on each part. Nothing a bit of magic marker can't fix if it bothers you, but there's no reason not to etch the curved part that clamps under the brake lever, or the back side of the shifter mount itself.

Does the good very well, I used these on a pair of trp e bike brakes with my dropper lever and sram shifter.
