The cuff is quite short, just about covering the back of your hand, there is a velcro closer which is sufficient (no more), and so far they've held up to 20-30 dog walks in terms of quality. These gloves are definitely more light duty functional, you wouldn't wear them for anything social, nor for any proper cold weather purposes, but they do a job for me. I think these should be touchscreen compatible for your phone, but dlthey don't even come close to working on my phone.
