For those who don't know how ground breaking the Avanti was for its time, just spend a few minutes on line and you will find it. This is an ALL CAST METAL Hot Wheel (many now have plastic undersides) and is a pretty good likeness of its namesake

Almost Like Having The Real Thing!
Mattel has managed to build a 1:64 Scale model of a 1963 Studebaker Avanti and put it out as a limited edition Hot Wheels car. This Hot Wheels car is vary hard to find, and very collletable. For those of us who love the "Studebaker Avanti" but will neverbe able to own the real thing. That turns the "BIG 50" in 2013. The Hot Wheels Edition will have a place of honor in my collection.
