This a great book, and we've gotten lots of use out of it. There is a song and solo version for each hymn; perfect for playing for enjoyment or a prelude. There is a lovely medley of It Is Well With My Soul and Peace Like A River. My 10 and 8 year olds can play these comfortably with a reasonable to practice.

This book has nice solo arrangements of usable songs for home or worship. The early intermediate level is great for students or for adults who need something quick and easy to play for church.

Just what my son needed for the hymns he played in the Federation of Music competition. Large print and easy to read.

Simpler than I expected.

I have used the music in Sacred Songs & Solos, Book 1 for preludes, offertory and the odd postlude. It offers familiar hymns that older church members like to hear. Easy to read and quick to prepare, it's an inexpensive book for a church musician to have on hand.
