California Costumes Men's Steampunk Cane

Sweet cane!

This is for Halloween. Steampunk Victorian dress up. The cane is really neat looking, a tad flimsy, but noted that it is just for prop not to hold actual weight. Very happy with it.

Does this cane look as cool as the photos? Yes. Is it cheap material? Also yes My 12 yr old wanted this for his costume this year. It is made all out of plastic so it is nice and light. It comes in 2 pieces- basically right in half of the cane where it screws together. The top alien skull is fixed to the top half of the cane. The cane is purely decorative because the skull will bend and probably ultimately break if too much weight is put on it. The skull is make out of soft moldable plastic so it can give and bend a bit. Pretty decent overall since it came back unscathed from a full day at a middle school as well as a kids dance.

Love this cane. Although made of plastic, it is pretty sturdy. I would not recommend using as a cane if you need support with walking, Only use as a costume. it's pretty cool and it went great with my Halloween costume.

We bought this for a steampunk costume for my husband, and honestly it wasn’t exactly what I expected. The cane arrives in two pieces that need to be screwed together, and the handle is a very bendy, rubbery plastic. It looks metal, it is not even hard plastic. It is 100% for aesthetics only. Please do not put any weight on it at all, not even just for a photo. The stick is sturdy enough, but the handle buckles very easily. As a prop you must use it gingerly. It looks good enough for costume purposes, but I have seen better quality handles in items from the Halloween stores. I was hoping for a little better quality than those stores. I got less.

Was soo excited to get this for my 12 yr old son. It came in two pieces that screw into each other. The handle is soft rubber kind of material. It actually is perfectly shaped for holding it and walking with it. But it broke within 10 min of my son checking it out. He didn't hit it on anything or swing it super fast. He held it about shoulder height and gently swung to about waist level and the part where it screws together snapped and the plastic broke. We couldn't even screw it together so now it's taped and it looks shitty. It's not a heavy staff so I can't imagine how the weight of it being swung slowly could break it. How the heck is he supposed to walk around trick or treating with this thing. It's probably gonna break some more when he actually is using it like a damn walking stick. I'm very unhappy with this quality for the price I paid.i wish I would've ordered it last month because of I return it now, he's gonna have nothing for Halloween. I showed in the video exactly how he swung it when it snapped. It's super cool looking so we are very bummed about this

I really like it. I used it as a prop for my steampunk costume for Halloween. Got tons of compliments. I think the price is reasonable. I decided to spice mine up by adding some ICE, luv it. It's not meant to hold you up, so please don't put too much weight on it. I definitely recommend as a compliment to your steampunk costume.

I have a few grips about the cane. First off the photos are very misleading. They appear to be of the prototype or original. Far more detail and color than what came in the box. The pictures imply metal or metabolized plastic with sheen but the actual product is dull and lacks detail. Second its really flexible and flimsy, you cannot lean on it like a real cane and if your going to get into the roll you can't really use it like a normal walking stick which will impact the way you hold and use it. I'm filling mine with a hard resin in hopes of making it more useful. Why they used a soft rubber makes no sense to me at all. Third its unusually tall, I have a decent collection of canes, this one is about 8 inches taller than the average cane I own. Great if your really tall but you may want to cut it down if your of average or shorter hight. Last, the detailing, since it seems to be a cast of the original (the photos do not match it at all. Clearly the photos on Amazon are of an original or prototype). The actual product is dull and lacks detail. I think this is a misrepresentation of the product and somewhat dishonest. They should not show pictures of a product they are not actually going to ship you. This was my biggest disappointment. When I took it out of the box I was immediately let down at the lack of detail and depth of metallic colors. I went back to the site to see if I was just imagining it but my product is dull and looks like a cheap plastic toy rather than a prop. I bought (on Amazon) a bag of gears and keys that I am glueing onto the cane to get some of the detail and authenticity back.
