Not very thick but still enough padding,that's a good thing. Keeps your hips from taking to much of the weight from your tool bags. Has the rings for your suspenders. Makes a minimal increase to to your waist so belt will still fit fine as long as belt wasn't on it's last belt holes to begin with. Tends to help keep bags in place and not sliding on belt as much. May help to keep your bags from falling down due to being able to tighten your belt a little more if needed without digging into your sides. Weigh hardly anything. Overall I think it's worth the money especially if your going to be working all day loaded down with nails and tools. Suspenders will just add to the comfort these already give you

Works darn near perfect for my work needs; and they look nice to me!I have petite frame, and a small waist, wearing a belt for my 32x34 pants. The size works just fine for me with my taught tactical belt. They wrap around the sides some, so I’m sure they’ll do fine with thicker individuals.As far as use goes, I have no complaints thus far, holding my light equipment just fine. Will update if need be.

I originally bought these 9008 hip buddies to eliminate bruising on my hips from heavy toolbags. Aside from making your bags fit a couple knotches tighter, they didn’t accomplish much at all. Regarding weight distribution, I would recommend spending the extra money on some Occidental suspenders.

These things were worth every penny!! I tend to load my bags up with a bunch of tools and fasteners and the weight can get to be a little much on my hips amd back. Within the first hour of using them I noticed a huge difference and they definitely make wearing my bags, which are also occidental, a whole lot more comfortable.

These things are just awesome. I have the 5055 Stronghold suspenders and they clip right onto those.

I don't wear braces with my pouch and the loops got painfully in the way, they are to hard and uncomfortable, bulky better off with the occidental padded belt

I am a thinner guy and this helps keep your bags from sliding off your waist. It makes it way more comfortable to wear.only downside is that it only leaves me with 1 or 2 holes left in my belt for room in the winter because of my coat and sweaters.

Doesn't breathe well meaning it holds in body heat that leads to hips sweating

Feels great with the belt and pouches. It feels good to wear. But the price is way to high.
