Wham-OHeavyweight Frisbee Disc

(I purchased mine direct from Wham-O)This disc is made of soft, easily deformed plastic that holds a set, rather than springing back into shape, while it's not actually floppy, like some intentionally soft discs, it lacks rigidity by comparison to high performance Wham-O discs and other high quality brands, it's seriously a totally different polymer from a USA made Wham-O HDX/UMax disc...While it throws OK and is fairly stable in flight, it's definitely not as consistent or controllable as some other models and despite its extra weight, it really doesn't fly any farther than a good Ultimate disc (even a 165g HDX).The worst feature is the sloppy finish on the bottom rim of the disc; instead of a smoothly rounded bottom that was injection molded to shape, this disc has had the rim (poorly) cut to shape, seemingly by hand. The edges are uneven and if the plastic wasn't so soft, they would be sharp enough to be uncomfortable to throw.There's really nothing to recommend this Frisbee, other than the fact that it actually flies, all the details of finish and performance are lacking, especially when you compare it to a quality made disc.If you want a good disc for throw and catch play in stronger wind, or for longer throws, I'd suggest a quality USA or European made disc that's been approved for adult level Ultimate Frisbee play (175g), instead of this disc. A better quality disc won't even cost you more if you shop around a bit!I gave my copy away to some random tweens who were walking by my house ...I actually feel al little guilty about that now, they deserved better ;)
