TORCHSTAR LED Gimbal Retrofit Recessed Light Dimmable, Pack of 4

Awesome light, really easy installation. Looks amazing, nice sealed gimbal, you can adjust without any energy loss. The only gripe is that there is no adjustment for light temperature. It comes a warm white, which is perfect for us, but if you are more of a cool light person, then this one may not be for you.

Once I took one out of the box and held it in my hand I was surprised on the quality and build of these. And once I installed them I was even more surprised and delighted on the brightness. The picture include it shows how well the spot lights light up the room without any other light on.

Easy to install, good quality materials. Have only had these for 1 month so far.

These are excellent lights - look great and provide great illumination (even the packing was great).I was able to actually talk to someone in technical customer support at Torchstar due to a dimmer switch issue.I tried using the Lutron Caseta wireless dimmer (PD-6WCL) with these lights. The dimmer worked when 2 lights were attached to the dimmer but did not work when 4 lights attached (all four lights kept flickering). Note, the wireless dimmer I tried to use is not on the approved list. However, the Lutron Diva dimmer (DVCL-153P) works great even when 4 lights are connected to one dimmer.

I purchased eight of these when we remodeled our kitchen. They are low profile (meaning they are somewhat into the ceiling). The space they require above the plasterboard is minimal. The power box does not need to be mounted in renovations, but according to the instructions is supposed to be attached to a cross beam in new installations. The clamps are metal and hold the light firmly to the ceiling. The cables twist to lock when they connect so we were able to do the electric, then paint, and then put the lights into their ceiling. We have all eight on two two way switches, one of which is a dimmer. Works great. We really like that one can "point" the light where it's needed. Highly recommended!

Installed, replacing existing halogen can lights. Very bright. Will install dimmer switches.

Very impressed with the sturdy construction of the lights and especially the boxes. I have bought lights in the past where the gauge of metal in the electrical boxes was so cheap they would come apart when you tried to wire multiple lights together. Not with these though. Heavy duty construction with lids that snapped closed and stayed closed.I would definitely buy these again.
