Easy install, working from “power back on”. Good!
Like others said - 2 of 3 wires are too short for original routing. But I drilled a hole thru the heat pump wall under the service panel so wires could be used “as is”. 1st hole placement was a poor choice - as rain/etc running down wire would land right on top of capacitor. 2nd try was beside & just below that cap - forming a DRIP LOOP so no water can flow down the wire toward anything. Hooked up 3 connectors & breakers on turned everything back on. Good result. Quiet outside, cool inside. Wife couldn’t believe I pulled it all off in 65 minutes.

Good Replacement/Price
The photo shows my original motor on the left with the replacement on the right. Also in the photo is the shipping box which was well padded. Before ordering, I read reviews noting concerns about the fan shaft length, but this was no problem on my replacement and equaled that of the original. I did find that the insulation on the wiring was of smaller diameter than the original and yes, the length was considerably different; however, it did work on my Carrier unit but was at the limit (color coding was the same as the original). I just cut the wiring within a few inches of my original motor and left the ends connected to make it easy to connect the new wiring one wire at a time or use as added length if necessary.Original wiring: Black-39", Brown-42", Yellow-44" Replacement wiring: Black-39", Brown and Yellow-28"Bottom line: the price was good, shipping was two days which was a plus during the heat that we are experiencing and it is running without a problem. Of course, mine just went out two days ago and I just completed installing the replacement. Note: Save the nuts that attach the grill to the motor for use on the replacement.

Seems to work fine but wires are too short.
This motor was the exact same part number as my old one however the wires on this one were much smaller and not as long. This required me to splice in extensions in order for the brown and yellow wires to reach the capacitor. I would have just pulled the old one apart and used the wiring from it but it was not interested in coming apart at all. The nuts securing the old unit to the fan cage were rusted and seized onto the tiny threaded bolts so all 4 of those snapped off. You will likely need new #10-24 nuts to secure this new motor as it does not include new ones. I’m a little concerned that the wiring on this unit is not nearly as beefy or the proper length as the wiring on the old one but we’ll see how it holds up.

make sure when mounting blades there at the same hight as on the old shaft

Works great, wire gauge is fine but leads may need extending
Very easy to install works great. This puppy had our house cool again in no time. For everyone concerned about the wire, for mine AC it appears to be the same gauge, 18, only the insulation isn’t as thick as the OEM wiring. The copper appears to be the same diameter and is actually stiffer than the OEM strands. For some reason the brown and yellow wires are shorter than black. On my Payne unit this meant that I had to extend those two. I’d like to give it 5 stars, but the missing 12” of wire takes the ease of install from 5 stars to 4.

THIS IS NOT OEM PRODUCT
wires were too short and had to be spliced. it was not manufactured original equipment. this was made in mexico and i would have returned it if i did need something running so badly. also this cost $38 more than tgd others on this site and cheated saying ORIGINAL OEM. seller should be banned

Same critique
Same critique as the other reviewers. The yellow and brown wires were to short. Had to drill two holes to reach both capacitors. Bought 1/4 inch rubber grommets from home depot to protect the wire through the drilled out holes. The shaft fan fit was about the same as the original. Running good right now.

Good Enough
I installed on a Carrier 38YXA036320 heat pump. Like the other reviews say the wires are a smaller gauge than the original motor. The wires were long enough to plug into the capacitor no extension needed . The shaft is shorter than the original, the fan blades fit but the set screw is right at the very end of the shaft. Time will tell how long it will last, but so far I am happy with it.
