My 8 yr old son loves these books! He generally isn’t interested in books, because he prefers to be much more active. But he loves these books! Some pages have comical illustrations, and some do not. It’s a good reading level for him, and there are funny story-lines in each book. I read with him, sometimes, and even I find them comical and entertaining in a juvenile-humour sort of way. I recommend these books to anybody with children age 7+.

Just live these books. My grandkids fight over who gets to read the next page out loud and often jump up to enact a part of the story. So great to see them interacting with the printed word rather than a digital screen. Great memories of time spent together.

I’m so happy to have discovered The Weird School books because it was an easy way to introduce my daughter to chapter books. She loves reading about AJ and his friends’ wacky adventures. She started these books when she was 8 and we’ve read 2 of the series so far. She’s 10 now and can’t wait to start this new series!
