BEWARE IF YOU HAVE SENSITIVE FEET
I love these things but they take a while to get used to. The soles are WOOD. Like there is wood to your sock inside the shoe. If you have soft sensitive feet you should bring another pair of shoes to work for a few weeks because your feet will die otherwise. They last forever once you get used to them though. My last pair went seven years. Money well spent.

2nd pair- works well with my gout
Wooden footbed doesn’t bend so works well for me since I have gout. My second pair. First pair lasted 10 years

I am pleased with the results
This is the second pair of these shoes I have bought. I am pleased with the results. The only reason I don't give them five stars is that they are a bit heavy. At my age, they are getting harder to wear for more than a couple of hours.

I wanted to love these....
UPDATE: I am returning. They’re not getting any more broken in. Can’t take it anymore and P.S.you have to pay for return shipping. 🙄The jury is still out...PROS: good amount of room on the toe box and the support is just right. Also when I stand in them for good amount of time, my hips don’t hurt.CONS: they’re SO HARD. I’m waiting until they loosen up. Will they ever? Not sure as there’s just like NO give to them, especially on top where I need it. The tops of my feet start to hurt after about an hour.

Good quality with a few flaws
Outstanding craftsmanship. The Problem is that the insole is made out of actual hard Birchwood and is completely inflexible which is great for standing but terrible for walking. The real complaint low is that when I was in a squatted position one of the birch insoles cracked in half and they’re glued in with some sort of crazy epoxy so you can’t even take the insoles out and replace them with aftermarket insoles. So what happens is you walk around with one perfectly normal insole and one with a sharp rough crack right under your foot and there’s really no getting around it

Pressure on top part of my feet.
Good quality, however my navicular cuneiform(top of my foot) is under severe pressure. This shoe does not stretch over time to release that pressure. Really hope they had 1/2 sizes available.
