First of all both arrived already broken and dented. Then it took less than a week for my French bulldogs to ruin them with scratches and tore the doors off because they weren’t sturdy to begin with. One came with a broken latch already. We fixed it on our own but at this point I spend money on 2 crates that lasted a few days.

For this price I would have expected a bit better quality. The top of the crate is really what matters the most as it is what you set your beverage, book, and or lamp on. The finish was VERY uneven and there was a gouge at the rear of the top. It was very easy to assemble, with that said the screws are not overly sturdy and I think a strong willed dog could potentially push through the front gate or put pressure on the top enough to break the screws. I recommend adding a little wood glue to the tip of the screw for added strength. It has a strong odor and I also recommend a good wipe down before allowing a pet to enter. The stain came off easily so I ended up using a high quality furniture polish to even out the stain and wiped off excess. I would not purchase this again and once I had it put together I decided it was going to be too much hassle to return it via Amazon so we will make due with it. It will serve its intended purpose for now. I will say it is LESS than Ikea quality. Buyer beware...

It looks great and is as advertised. But the visible latch and the lattice door give Fido ability to scratch and/or chew on the wood. I placed a solid piece of wood on the inside of the door and the chewing and scratching ended. Great piece of furniture that doubles as a kennel.

Easy to assemble, looks really nice, good height, looks expensive. However, the wood is super soft. It's not made from hardwood, most is veneer. My dog doesn't like being in a crate, but it's unavoidable when we run quick errands. He chewed a lot of the lattice edges on the inside of crate, so we restained those areas and reinforced it on the inside (so it was virtually invisible) with a small grate fencing material like something you would use on a rabbit hutch. I think if it was all solid hardwood the chewing wouldn't be an issue. I think it wouldn't be an issue for a pet that is crate trained and doesn't suffer separation anxiety like my small dog does. Otherwise, it's a beautiful piece of furniture that's blends perfectly with our decor.

Love the look of the crate. Moderate assembly, my 12 y/o daughter and I were able to put it together in about 45 minutes. The only real issue I have is the door only goes on one way and cannot be reversed. AND I accidentally put the door on with the latch inside instead of outside and once the door is put on it can’t be removed. My crate arrived damaged, but Amazon customer service was great to give a discount or offer an exchange.FYI be very careful when putting the door on to make sure it is the right direction. I put it on wrong with the latch on the inside and it cannot be taken back apart without drilling holes in the wood. Guess I'll be removing and fixing the latch.....

It looks great and is easy to put together. But like most other reviews, my dog chew it in 15 mins. He is kennel trained and has been all of his life. I put him in while I dropped my kid at school. I came back 15 minutes later and he had destroyed the inside of the kennel by chewing. I think he felt to closed in with this kennel as opposed to other more traditional crates.

Ours came scratched a little on top already, but it was still nice enough for us to use and just cover with a basket. Our large lab loves it! Looks so much nicer than our wire kennel and have gotten lots of compliments. Scratches easy, but love love love it!

Perfect crate for our beagle mix - he feels safe and has plenty of view if he wants to keep an eye on us while snuggled up inside. This beautiful wood crate did not come with a tray/liner but I found one to fit inside this crate - which we use under his fluffy pet bed - in case of accidental messes.
