Guinness 20oz Gravity Pint Glass

Sturdy, good-looking glass, especially when filled with beer!

This glass is identical to the ones I bought at the Guinness Brewery while in Dublin. Same feel, same clarity, same capacity. To those who complain that it isn't a pint: It is an Imperial pint, a different unit of measure from our US pint - 20 ounces rather than 16. ( I'll take the 4 ounces you don't want to drink, lol). Yes, both this and the Dublin glass have an almost imperceptible seam. Yes, this glass and the Dublin glass have "PINT" and the CE and Mnn printed in white designating that the glass is usable for selling beer in a licensed establishment. The glasses I bought in Dublin were marked "M18" (manufactured in 2018), whereas the ones I bought from Amazon were marked "M17" (manufactured in 2017). Now, if only bottled beer were regularly sold in Imperial pints in the US!

Unless my measuring cups are off, this really only effectively holds 19 oz, especially if you're gonna walk anywhere with it full. Like, maybe if you filled it to the brim, and then with a dropper added a little over the brim and prayed the surface tension of the liquid keeps it all in the glass, and you don't move the glass, then it holds 20 oz.Thankfully, I only use this for my beers that come in 16 oz. pints that I can't put in my American pint glasses, because they only effectively hold 15 oz.

My boyfriend received this as a going away gift from his local Irish pub that he would always visit to drink Guinness. About a month or so ago I accidentally broke it. (I know I'm the worst, super clumsy. He would bring it up all the time about how that was his favorite glass and now he had nothing else to drink in. Lol. (There are other cups in the apartment.) Anyways, I bought this glass as a replacement to the original one he got. I kind of surprised him with it and told him to open the box when it arrived. When he opened it he was super excited and said it looked like an exact replica of the original one he got from the bar! This glass looks weighs and feels like one of the ones from the bar. Great success! :)

I love this pint glass my issue is that its not very thick and i wish it was. I love that it holds a lot of liquid plus ice but its a thin glass which surprised me. I have to be careful when using it. It is dishwasher safe and if you wash it by hand as i do wear gloves for grip and dont put in a dishwrack to dry unless its on top of other things. Fragile doesnt even cover it.

I got this to replace a Guinness glass I lost in an apartment fire. While it is a very nice glass it wasn't the same as the one I lost. This one is a very heavy, thick lipped, glass. The design is very nice and it feels nice in the hand. The one I lost was a very thin lipped glass that would ring.. it had a very great sound when picked up (I'm not sure how to properly describe that sound). I'd still buy this one again but the quest for my singing pint glass continues.

These glasses are very nice copies of those used at the Dublin Brewery. They have a nice feel to hold and the glass is good quality, although the seams are a little more pronounced then those in Ireland. I was a little concerned about the quality of the printing, emblems and breakage others had written about in their reviews, but I was pleased with the the quality and how well they were bubble wrapped and packaged. In my opinion these are probably the same 20 oz (imperial) glasses Guinness gives to the speciality bars which serve Guinness on draft here in the US. I would not hesitate to order more.

Ok. First of all I received luminarc arc international brand glass and not Trudeau as mentioned by seller. Quality is pretty good but seam is very much visible. Did not get the perfect official guiness glass I expected as they have not mentioned that this is a luminarc glass.
