Yes, this is hard plastic, which means it can crack if you pull the sides apart too hard, and it can feel tight. I knew this by the description and still this is what I wanted. I’ve purchased 2 colors and am very satisfied. There is a difference between soft, flexible plastic and hard, inflexible plastic. Buyers should pay attention to product descriptions. This works perfectly for me and the price is fair. I will probably buy more colors.

This hard plastic headband is a letdown. Sure, it holds at first , but the plastic is stiff and does not give - its comfortable and breaks after a while. worse still, is starts to peel over the time , which really lowers its quality look. given what you pay for it, you expect it to last, it just does not deliver value for the money. Not recommended

Worked well with my daughter’s Saria cosplay. It’s not the best quality and probably wouldn’t pay more than $5 for this but I was strapped for time. It’s durable enough to use again, just wish it wasn’t as pricey as it was when I had to buy it.

I am very particular about what I put in my head since I have problem with my jaws I can get a headache very easily. I Have to wear glasses a mask and earbuds when I'm working so I'm worried about putting a headband on. But this headband is strong enough to push my Afro back and it stays and doesn't hurt my head. I wear it all day on. Let's say that I'm planning to buy other colors the problem is that I can't decide which color... 😊Let's see what happens when my afro grows more. Right now I love it💕

I don't know why I keep this around. I probably just feel bad throwing it away. It's a waste. I've used it maybe 2-3 times since. I bought it to keep the hair off my face when I'm grooming. The teeth on this are so small that it doesn't even stay on my head. I don't consider myself to have a small head. But it's loose. Maybe it's for people with curly hair.

It’s hard now a days to find these hair bands in stores. They are perfect for people with thick hair.

My fault I should have ordered a one inch and in leather. The plastic looks a little cheap.
