Fruit Chews - Strawberry Flavor (240 Candies)

During a Halloween party last month, a man was standing against a wall with a bag of these in his hands. I did a double-take. I straightened. Then I approached him slowly, my eyes wide, my steps cautious. Could it really be? Are these the same candies I have literally been searching for in vain for the last fifteen years? Poor guy. He must have been pretty shocked when I took the bag right out of his hand, opened it wide at the top, and gazed down at its contents. Precious, precious contents. Like little barely-wrapped pieces of gold, they appeared to me. This was indeed them. The next thing I did was look at the damn brand name on the bag. I've been looking for these candies for so long and failing, and all I really needed to know all that time was what the heck the brand name was: Albert's. I memorized it instantly. And then I gushed, handing back the bag. "I'm sorry! I've just been looking for these candies that I used to eat all the time when I was a kid. I loved them so much! The way they were nice and hard, like tangy taffies but without the tang, the way they could be smoothed into a kind of delicious wafer that would slowly melt in the mouth, the TASTE!" The very gracious man smiled, took my hands, and dumped half the bag into them. I thanked him profusely, ate every single one of them, and then went home and ordered four bags of this stuff from Amazon. In case you haven't gathered thus far - I love these candies. Thank goodness they haven't changed one iota over the last thirty years. The grape is my favorite, followed by the strawberry. Nothing else in the world is quite like them. Their consistency, their flavor, their size - they are all perfect. Luck was with me that Halloween. :)

These candies are almost always too hard to chew. They're so hard to chew it feels like your teeth will be ripped out. BUT... if you have a heating pad, you can put it on low and PERFECTLY soften the candy. It doesnt take any time at all. The flavors and cost of the candy is too good to not eat it because it's too hard. Really is worth the effort.

This is an update to my last review, I have received my product and it was well worth the money. The candy was fresh and flavorful and my family loved them!!!! I would definitely purchase this candy again. Thank you sooo much to the seller for ensuring that I received my package!!!

I got these as a gift for my dad, who grew up with these. He was very pleased; said that they're yummy and one of his favorites. I think he probably finished them within a week of receiving them.

I have enjoyed chews since I was a kid and they remain one of my junk food indulgences. The large bag lasts 2-3 months even with my almost daily snacking.

THESE ARE DELICIOUS CANDIES. THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO BE CHEWABLE. CHEWABLE MEANS THAT THEY ARE EASY TO CHEW. I PURCHASED THREE BAGS, THEY CAME ALL HARD AS ROCKS- OLD? , MERCHANDISE THAT GOT UNDER HOT TEMPERATURE AND CHANGED ITS PHYSICAL STATE WHEN COLD? WHATEVER THE REASON, THEY SHOULD HAVE NEVER SELL THIS TO ANYBODY. IN ANY CASE, THESE CANDIES WERE A BIG TIME DISAPPOINTMENT. OBVIOUSLY THE MANUFACTURER DOES NOT CARE AT ALL FOR QUALITY ASSURANCE AND ALLOWS THIS TO HAPPEN. I DON'T THINK I WILL BUY THEM AGAIN, WHAT WILL IMPEDE THAT I 'LL RECEIVE ROCKS AGAIN?

This is my son & my’s favorite candy to the point where we go through a bag a week at times. My only complaint with this seller is that the texture of the candy is inconsistent from bag to bag— ranging from softish to quite stale. Regardless, I still gave it 4 stars since it consistently has the same good flavor.

I literally see wrappers of it in her BED, on the FLOOR, literally like everywhere. They must be rlly good.
