Baklawa (Baklava) w/Walnuts, 60 Pieces

I wanted to make my own but my oven needed a new heating element, so I saw these & well here i am writing this. when they arrived I couldn't believe how big the box was, I froze half & friends & family devoured the rest, me of course. I am glad I read the reviews as the Baklava was not very sweet, or dripping in syrup, also they had a familiar taste it was butter flavored crisco used instead of real butter, that would havemade the price very high, so made my own from Caro syrup & sugar, real butter & honey poured over made them perfect for me. They did an outstanding job, & the price is amazing. good job, will buy againi am glad I read the reviews

This Supplier creates a pastry that looks impressive on the table and is light and fresh. It arrives fast, is well packaged and can be placed on the table minutes after receiving it. It is great for holiday times where there are lots of people coming & going (it is a rather large batch of baklava). It is not messy to eat - which for me is a draw back as it indicates less honey/syrup than I like in baklava.Maybe the baklava I was raised on in Chicago (sweet, gooey) was not authentic - but that is what sticks in my memory and this product is different than that. Not bad - just different. Maybe I don't want authentic...

I placed an order for Father's Day, and immediately after I clicked "Submit", I realized that my billing address was out of date. Shatila responded quickly to my email, and the order was processed without delay. The apparently-massive tray of baklawas was at the destination within 2 days, where they were enjoyed by my father-in-law and the entire family.The only thing we didn't like is that we were about 6100 miles too far to have a piece ourselves.(BTW, this is a "4 star out of 4" situation. I'm not taking a star off for anything--I just like to save the last star for very special occasions.)

They are oky. Was hoping for a real tasty punch, but didn't get it. Guess one has to buy fresh only. But as I said..its okay. Textur was okay and butter was okay, sugar okay but like one or 2 days from becoming stale.In a pinch I would say it will do. Next time I buy fresh. These are like lot of pastries..only good for the day they are baked.

These were very delicious and tasted like the shortbread cookies from the girl scouts. My boyfriend and I ate all of this within a few days, so it's definitely tasty, but I was looking more for Greek style baklava.

Each year as my family/friends celebrate our religious holidays, I always purchase boxes of baklava from Shatila. No complaints. Lots of compliments. Enough to share. Who could ask for anything more?

I love them and so do my guests. I would get them again but it's a shame they can't be shipped prime with amazon.

Order this baklava and it arrived quickly. Everything was sealed tightly and the baklava was fresh and yummy, I love them. The baklava are crispy and they stayed together well, so I barely made any mess taking them out. The baklava didn't have too much honey/syrup on them so they weren't all that sweet (which is just the way I like them), but if you like the sweeter taste you'll need to pour some honey on top.
