SPANX Original Shaping High-Waisted Footless Sheers - Core & Thigh Control - Footless Pantyhose - Use as Shapewear Underwear

Im 5'5 144lbs, jeans size 4-6 or size 27 in dress pants. My actual waiste is 30in, and 39in hips. I got the size C. There is no vanity sizing in Spanx. They are true to your actual body measurements. They fit like a glove. I can get them on pretty easily, they are tight and snatched. I can breath, and they dont flatten my butt or roll down. I think the reason people are ripping them, Is because they are choosing a size too small and struggling trying to get into them. Ive not had any issues with them ripping. If you are in between sizes, size up.

These suck you in a bit and smooth out the rest. The reviewers saying they ripped must not be used to wearing pantyhose, because I’ve worn and washed these several times with no issue. You have to be a bit gentle getting them on, but that’s just the way it is with this sort of material.

The product is true to size but the nylon in the lower leg part is very fragile and I already have two runs in one of the legs. It doesn’t make a lot of difference since it’s the upper part that is most important but just frustrating to get runs so quickly. The top does not roll down and my clothes look very smooth while wearing the product.

I love the Original Spanx! They just don't last long.

The nylon part of these tore the second I pulled them out of the package. I liked the idea of the nylon at the bottom of this shapewear item but it really is a poor design overall. This is not a cheap item and nylon is known to run/tear very quickly. If Spanx is going to offer such a product at $40, then they need MUCH tougher nylon. I am going to have to start my search over for shapewear, and it won't include anything with nylon.

After reading the reviews I knew what I was getting. I got this to wear with my white wedding outfit but I knew other buyers had problems with it ripping, so I didn’t even try it on before the day (I had a backup plan). Here is my experience: Pros: - it does the job well, offer decent compression and shaping without rolling down at all. I was pretty impressed by how well it held over my ribs, while most other options I tried rolled right down. - it’s quite comfortable for what it is. I didn’t feel like it was hard to breathe or anything. - fit was true to size. Just a little bit tight and hard to put in but that’s kinda the the point - it did not show at all. No seams visible on the side or anything. Looked great. Cons: - it ripped off when I first put it on. Huge rips from top to bottom, in both the front and back. And it wasn’t even in the stocking part as I expected, but actually in the top, shape-wear area. As you can see in the photos, the lines marked in red are not the seams, but rather two huge tears that I got by just putting them on. I was extremely careful with my nails but just by stretching it I immediately heard the rip. Bear in mind it was not super tight, I wasn’t looking for a lot of tummy control or anything but just wanted to not have pantie lines. Bottom line, I don’t regret getting them as I only needed it for one special occasion. However, given that it’s something that is meant to hold some compression and considering the price, I do believe it should not rip by simply putting it on.

Fit as advertised, arrived in perfect condition and on time.

So I swear I probably read almost every single review for these. I was worried to order them at first, mainly because I thought I would get a run in them right away. So many reviews said they got a run the first time they put it on. I was also worried about what size was going to give me the smoothness and fit I was looking for. So I decided to go with a size E, instead of the D like suggested and I'm SO thankful I did. It gave me the smooth look I was hoping for and it didn't strangle my insides. I'm pregnant and found it to be way more comfortable than any other shaper I've had in the past. I will say though that the pantyhose part on the leg is very thin so be extra careful when putting them on. Another AMAZING feature of these is that there is a flap in the crotch (double gusset) that allows you to use the restroom without taking them off! But yeah, if you need to go #2 you'll have to take them off lol All in all I'm super impressed with these and it made my belly and hips look nice and smooth under my maternity dress. And then yes, as the title says, a happy dance ensued lol
