Great coffee, shame about the plastic capsules
Like most people, I am trying to reduce my consumption of single-use plastics. I could not tell from the photos or product description on Amazon, but it looked from the pack cover that these might be aluminium capsules (which are easily recyclable). Sadly not. They are plastic, and not even compostable, as far as I can tell from the packet. This is a real shame, as these score on so many other points:- the coffee is nicely flavoured and mellow for a Lungo in the morning. Really nice. My wife (who did not know the switch) commented that the coffee was much nicer than the Starbucks capsules we were using before.- I like that these are Fairtrade, as I look for that wherever I can. Too many coffee producers get ripped off to feed the profits of western companies.- The capsules come in a simple cardboard box (good), with 20 loose inside. This means that the 100 capsules here don't take up acres of cupboard space. If the manufacturer could replace the capsules with aluminium (or even compostable plastic), I would give these 5 stars without hesitation. As it is, I'm afraid I have to give them a pass in future, until they change.

Lovely flavour coffee
I have a mixed feelings about this coffee. There are pros and cons about it which make me think if I will buy it againThe pros:This coffee has a lovely intense flavour which I like, especially i usually make my coffee a lungo. The quality of the coffee is quite good and you can see the creamy foam layer on top of the mug.It is a Fairtrade coffee which means the farmers gets more fair profit from selling the beans. The price is a bargain considering the quality is actually not bad.The cons:The capsules is made with plastics, which I have been searching on the packaging it doesn't say if the plastic capsules are recyclable. I personally prefer aluminum capsules as I am sure they can be recycled. And it will be this reason i am hesitating if i will buy again. It will be nice to find out if these capsules can be recycled as i will really bad throwing them into the general waste bin.

coffee capsules
Hubby loves his coffee and these were bought for his Nespresso machine. He found that the water struggled to go through the capsule and it dripped slowly through. However he really liked he flavour of the coffee and used the capsules by pouring them straight into his cup and adding water and milk.

Mild flavour but plastic pods
Not the best for recycling, and the flavour is on the mild/not very strong side, but it has a decent flavour compared to some I have had. The price is reasonable and the pods work fine in my nespresso machine - good standard for daily cup of coffee.

Coffee with a clear conscious
This pack contains 100 Capsules. I can purchase these Capsules with a clear conscious as they are Fairtrade, so the coffee grower will get a fair price, and also they are organic, so I'm safe in the knowledge that no chemicals have been sprayed onto the coffee beans. The price works out at only 19p a capsule and considering they are Fairtrade and organic this represents very good value.
