Very well made headphones.Pros/Cons:I like the way they for into my ears. The battery life is decent, but I have forgotten them out side of the case a few times, so you have to put them inside to re-link them. The sound is good also, I liked them so much that I had my cousin buy a pair also. I have noticed they look alike the apple versions, so a lot people ask me about them in meetings. I do wish there was a way to increase the bass, but that's when I put the volume up when listening to a great song. I use them primarily for work meetings, so don't need too much bass then.I do like the color white, but I wished I ordered the black ones.

I cannot notice any noise cancelling with these TicPod 2 Pro ear buds. It appears to not be enabled. The new QCC51XX chipsets from Qualcomm are supposed to support Active Noise Cancellation and that is why I purchased these. Some earbuds claim to be noise cancelling by sealing the ear (they call it passive noise cancelling which is BS) but that is not the case with this design.Without the ANC, I am not sure what could possibly justify the high price tag of these ear buds. In fact, I am almost willing to go out on a limb and says that these are not using the ANC and the claim of noise cancelling is straight of false advertising.Follow up:In addition to the lack of advertised ANC, they also do not last. After less than 10 hours of total use, they no longer will charge.

Spoiler alert: I highly recommend the TicPods 2 Pro. While not perfect by any means, they offer a unique experience at a very competitive price. If you want to know how I came to this conclusion, read on!I own an android device and I wanted a design similar to the more popular iOS offering. I already have a couple of true wireless earbuds but wanted to have the option to be able to hear my surroundings. I have never of Mobvoi but still, based on the reviews, took a chance.Immediately upon opening the box, I was stricken as to how light, small, and portable the case is. It can actually fit in my jean’s small pocket! I chose the white finish set which is matte. There is no worry about fingerprints being seen. I also noticed how flimsy the case is. The cover is rather loose and flaps around when opened. However, it closes tightly magnetically thus keeping the buds secure inside. Although it features a textured groove on top, which adds some degree of grip, I don’t think it would survive a 4-5 foot drop.The TicPods 2 themselves are made of light plastic and are very light. This makes them very cumbersome while handling them. Taking them out and putting them back in the case comfortably takes a significant amount of practice. I dropped them a few times when I tried to “whip them out” in a hurry.The TicPods 2 feature a one size-fits-all design. While they do not have any silicone tips, the heads are big enough to fit well in my ear canals. It is easy to “forget” that they are there and did not experience discomfort when listening to them until the battery died. However, I did feel a bit of soreness when I finally took them off, but it was minimal.Even though they hang fairly securely in the ear, and are awesome for leisure walks, they will not stay in if you shake your head or make any sudden movements. This makes them incompatible, at least in my experience, with activities such as running, jumping, flips (yes, I do that) and such. They will fall off or worse, fly off!Also, I would not recommend them for noisy, crowded environments or for traveling and/or commuting. They simply do not block any noise at all. Again, these are great for quieter places, or when you want to be aware of your surroundings, but I would not use them in a place like a coffee shop.The TicPods 2 have Bluetooth 5.0. That means that I had a very good uninterrupted connection at all times at good distances and even through some walls and hallways.These buds are jammed packed with very interesting features such as the “TicHear Quick Commands”, which allows for asking for simple tasks such as “play music”, “stop”, and “play” without saying the assistant’s wake word. There is also the “Hey Tico” wake word, which brings up the default assistance. It quickly became more natural for me to say “hey tico!” than using Google’s or Samsung’s wake words. There is also the unique (or gimmicky) feature of accepting calls by simply nodding and declining them by shaking my head without saying a word. I tried this and, while novel and cool, I’m not sure as to how useful it actually is.These buds support touch controls which are very responsive and intuitive by default and affect several commands. I especially like the way volume works by simply sliding your finger up/down the bud. If you take one off, the sound is paused.The battery life is decent. By themselves, the buds play up to 4 hours.With the case, you have about 20 hours. Placing the headphones in the case for 5 minutes provides about 1 hour of playtime, which I personally confirmed and is super useful. The case features USB-C fast charging which allows for completely charging the case and headphones in about 1 hour. There are some LED lights to indicate battery status.In order to fully take advantage of these headphones, the Mobvoi software must be downloaded. You can update, check battery levels, adjust touch controls, and control the equalizer (I love the metal sound signature, which allows for more impactful bass).Speaking of sound (the most important factor in my opinion), the TicPods 2 Pro produce surprisingly good, clear, and pleasant sound. The Qualcomm® aptX Audio allows for good soundstage and accurate synching with video content. The highs are very accurate and do not pierce at high levels. The mids are pushed slightly forward which is great for audiobooks and podcasts. The bass is certainly present and fairly punchy. It will not appease the bass-heads, though. There is some distortion when listening at more than 75% volume and heavy bass music or content. One must listen in a quieter setting to really hear the quality of the sound.The dual-mics offer great clarity on calls and video conferencing with its noise cancellation, which worked great in noisy settings without my having to scream. When working from home, I did not drop or had any issues whatsoever.All in all, I am really pleased with the TicPods 2 Pro. While they can be cumbersome, have questionable build quality, fall off with sudden movements, do not block any sound, and lack deep bass, these have become my everyday buds because they are incredibly convenient, portable, comfortable, and are jammed packed with unique features at a very, very fair price. Again; highly recommended!

First off, I need to say this is my second pair of ticpods. The first pair I purchased stopped charging and went haywire, which I think speaks to some quality control issues at Mobvoi. They lasted about a year and Mobvoi we're unable to send me a replacement. So do what you want with that.But I do like these, that is why I bought a second pair.I think it is important to note that these are for certain people. They let in a lot of sound, and there is no passive noise isolation. This is why I like them. I can be completely aware of my surroundings and even maintain conversations with them in.Other things I like. They stay in MY ears without any issue (although I wouldn't work out in them), the touch controls work well as long as you cleanly tap the earbuds, and the auto pause is reliable.They also sound great. I never heard earbuds with such a wide sound stage. A soundstage comparable to some headphones I have tried with much larger drivers. They also have a very crisp sound and you can pick out different textures. You don't have that boxy/tinny tone that often aflicts earbuds. The issue is you just really have to crank them when there is a lot of other sounds around you.They also take calls well.Now for more of the bad: the app is really clunky and has all of these odd health features I don't think anyone uses. The only thing I use the app for is to turn on aptx and to check for firmware updates. The translation feature is built into the app, but I have not used it.The head motion features sometimes work. It is often easier to just answer your phone instead of shaking your head like and idiot.The tips of the buds do collect a certain amount of earwax and when you touch the grill in order to clean it, it easily bends in upon itself. It is best not to touch it.The case feels flimsy and the led lights feel and look cheap. They don't tell you much.So these earbuds do have things to worry about and I would give them a lower rating but I use them quite a bit.My first pair were $100+ and I would never spend that much in them again. Although I wish Mobvoi we're able to make good on a faulty product, the earbuds were near $40 when I purchased them a second time, which made a second purchaseess jarring.If you need a pair of transparent really decent sounding earbuds these are worth a gamble if you can get them on sale. Otherwise, these probably aren't for most people.
